Hello and Good Morning from London Heathrow. Today we'll (unfortunately) fly back to ZRH with a stop in GVA. Due to the G7-Summit in Geneva, I expect some delays there.
The ride for today is an A220-300, named "La Gruyère", registered as HB-JCO and 8 years old.
Way to the Airport
I'm on the way to the bus stop from my Hotel.
I highly recommend avoiding the Hotel Hoppa, since it's 7£ and takes longer than public busses for 1.75£. My price above is from the Radisson Blu to the Airport.

My ride arrived after 3 minutes of waiting and off we go to Heathrow.

If you arrive by bus, you'll end up at the Heathrow Central Bus Station between T2 and T3. If your flight leaves from T5, you need to take an underground transfer with the Heathrow Express or the Tube, which are both free of charge if you only transfer between terminals.

I took the escalator up to the departure level. On the signs, it said that it takes 15 minutes but idk how they calculated because it took me 3.

Check-In and Security
I checked in with the counters to obtain my boarding pass and made my way to the Star Gold Lane for security.
There, you get rerouted through a corridor to a seperate screening area.

I then got released into the main departure area.

Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge
I did some research in advance and apparently, the SQ Lounge is the best one in T2 so I made my way there.
Please be aware, that it is located at the B-Gates, meaning a 15 minute walk through an underground walkway.

It shares the entrance with the Air Canada Maple Club Lounge.

The lounge itself was modern designed in the typical SQ Color scheme and had a big buffet and a served bar. It also offered apron views.

I helped myself to a serving and the food was GREAT!

Lufthansa Senator Lounge
I then headed back to the A Gates, where my flight was departing from. With enough time to spare, I decided to have a quick look at the Senator Lounge as well.

Upon entry, you enter the main area but are handed a QR code thah can be used to access the Senator area.

I helped myself again to a serving but I must admit that the food was mid at best. The SW quality was way better.

Also, when I went to pee, I saw a sign I never saw before. They were warning the male customers that a female cleaning lady was on duty in the restrooms.

So the internet was right and the SQ lounge was better in terms of food. However, the Senator lounge was less occupied and more silent.
Flight LHR-GVA
We were boarding from A17 today.

We pushed back 7 mins late and had a 20minute taxi.

The inflight meal was roastbeef, which I was not a fan of but it was better than the shrimp they announced on their website in advance, accompanied by a coconut pannacotta with mango which was AMAZING. To drink, I went with a coke and SWISS' Signature cocktail, the Alpine Essence. That thing was the single best piece of alcohol I've ever had, I have to give that to SWISS. Unfortunately, my request to take a small bottle (1dl) home was denied.

I then enjoyed the scenery on the approach to GVA.

We arrived late and taxied by the grounded Aeroflot aircraft and the fire brigade testing 737.
But due to the short taxi, we only arrived 3 mins late.

GVA
I then made my way to the passport control and to the departure hall for my connecting flight.

I was the only one at security so that went smooth and then up to the lounge.
