Hello and welcome back to another trip report.
Today, we will fly to ATL from AMS on KLM's 787-10, PH-BKD, named Baardbloem/Heavenly Blue, which was 6y/o at the time of the flight.
Connection
I had almost missed my connection.
My incoming flight from Zurich was delayed and on the announcement, they listened that the flight to ATL has been missed. I received a little gift bag as compensation. Even though 12! different connections were missed, I was the only one to receive such a bag, which I assume was due to my FlyingBlue Status.

I certainly didn't complain about it.
However, after we were bussed to the terminal, I noticed that the atlanta flight still showed "gate closing" and gate closing is not the same as gate closed, so I RAN. Passport control was quick (no queue) and I've flown from Amsterdam numerous times so I know exactly where to run.
When I arrived at the gate, the gate agent already called out my name "Mr. Hausherr, Atlanta over here" and I showed her my boarding pass and was let on board. I ran down the jetbridge where the crew was already waiting, and as soon as I was on board, they closed the door.
I was then greeted with a "we did not think you would made it, welcome on board"
Flight

I was seated in 10A, which was the first seat after turning left from the door, meaning all the way in the back of the business cabin.
We pushed back 20minutes late and departed at 5:41pm, which was 26minutes behind schedule.

The seat was comfortable and of course a 180 lay flat seat.

Meal
Food serving started 30mins into the flight.
Starter was a salmon-creamcheese bite.

The starter was advertised as risotto but It was not enough creamy for me to count as risotto. It was accompanied again by salmon and a green salad with a breadroll and butter.

For the main course, I chose the beef, which came with leek and potatoes and was very tasty and tender. The beef was cooked well done.

For dessert, they served some kind of apple pie, with banana and Speculaas, which was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. I could've eaten dozens of those.

Midflight
After the trays were cleared, it was time for some sleep.

The bed was okay, but I preferred AF's 777 beds.
After around two hours of sleep, I checked out the IFE.
I liked the option to select your connecting flight.

and the updates actually worked - nice.

There were also some fitness options available, though I was not really eager do to yoga in the cabin.

I'm more of a flight map kinda guy, so I did not really check out the movie selection.
Food (again)
Then the second meal came, which was supposed to be thai curry but it was cold and I did not really like it.

Cabin tour
I then asked the crew for a little cabin tour, and HELL YEAH I got it. So they took some pictures of me in uniform and I was allowed to visit their rest area.

Landing
Before landing, the delft house was served (which I quickly drank since I'm 19 and could not legally bring alcohol into the United States).

Then it was time to buckle up and land in Atlanta.

We arrived 15 mins early and I was soon headed to Immigration an onwards to my connection.
Wow that cabin tour was awesome and a surprise, did they have any hesitation taking you there?
no not really. I asked my flight attendant whi had to ask the purser who then took me for the tour. After we took the foto in the suit (which was what I asked for), he asked if I wanted to see the crew rest, which I obviously accepted. So we walked to the back of the plane, where he quickly asked other crew members if they had stuff up there or if it was good to go and I was then let up. Their bed was even more comfortable than mine 🤣
