Introduction
This trip report is from Dec 2025. I planned this trip to complete the Great Oz Long Drive [G.O.L.D] series.
Jetstar has flight to Busselton from Sydney and Melbourne. Chose to fly out of Melbourne as I was in Victoria.
Booking
I booked this flight from Jetstar website. As there is only one flight, choosing the flight was no brainer.
I was going to be away for few days and chose checked bag.
Seat selection
I chose the travel insurance as I had experienced flight cancellation in the past.
Paid the fare and booking confirmed. Email with itinerary was sent.
Check-in
Prior to departure, I checked in for the flight through the website.

I parked the car at the airport long term parking.

Bus dropped outside Terminal 4. I had arrived at the airport 2hrs prior to departure.
I checked the flight information on Flightradar24.
Check-in
Entered the terminal
Printed the baggage tag and boarding pass and joined the queue to drop bag.
Queue was moving slowly, took almost 20mins to drop bag.
Security
Took escalator to upper floor and proceeded for security check. Check didn't take long as electronic devices stay in bag. Entered the Departures area.

Boarding
Boarding had commenced.
Boarding gate 50 for Busselton flight.
Boarding pass scanned and was allowed to walk towards aircraft.
As I was seated in the front section, boarding through the forward stairs.

Overhead bins being closed for departure.
Pushback and Taxi
Doors were closed, cabin announcement by crew followed by safety demonstration. Pushback commenced soon after.

Aircraft parked in bay. Pilot announced disengage door.

Aircraft and flight information
Western Australia does not have daylight saving like the Eastern States. Summer time difference between Victoria and Western Australia is 3hours.
