Welcome back to another trip report.
Today, I'll be reporting KL1236 from GOT to AMS.
Aircraft: Boeing 737-900ER
REG: PH-BXO
Age: 24 y/o
Name: Plevier/Plover
Livery: SkyTeam Livery
Check-In and Security
I arrived way too early for this flight due to the return time of my rental car. I arrived around 3h 30mins before departure, so check-in was not even open yet, sincd KLM opens the check in 2hrs before departure. However, since I didn't have any luggage to check in, i quickly used the self-service machines to obtain my Boarding pass (for my collection) and went straight to security. Thanks to Elite+, I could use the priority lane and skip the line which made Security really smooth, even though I got selected for a random spot check.

Lounge
KLM uses the Menzies Lounge, but due to my status, I got access to the SAS Lounge, which I actually prefer, so I chose to go with this. It was quite full when I entered but quickly emptied itself about half an hour later.
Unfortunately, the food selection in this lounge is really limited. The only warm food option was a tomato soup, besides that a salad buffett and bread were offered. (and of course the usual small snacks). Also, the lounge did not have a huge alcohol selection. Only red, white and sparkling wine were available. Red and white wine from the tab, sparkling from the bottle. So if you were looking for spirits, no chance. I actually found the food / drink option quite disappointing.

But the lounge is spacious, offers a lot of power outlets and has great apron views.
Important was also the free wifi, since the airports own wifi is limited to 1hr free of charge (more is subject to payment), which I really found disappointing. (Swedavia, please change this, thx)
Boarding and Takeoff
I then made my way to gate 13, which is at the northern end of the airport. Due to GOT's size, it was just a quick walk however and boarding started soon after.

I really like the old 737 seats in KLM, because they are much more padded than the new slimline seats. I was also quite surprised to see that the plane was quite empty, no reason to complain tho, who doesn't like to have a row to themselves?

We pushed back 1 minute early and after a 10min taxi we departed from RWY 21 at 6:34pm.

Inflight
The flight itself was quite unspectular.
We had no turbelence at all and the regular KLM meal service, consisting of a sandwich and a drink of choice, where I opted for a coke, was served. Unfortunately tho, the aircraft was not equipped with wifi or device holder but the flight was fairly short so I didn't bother and just watched some of my downloaded videos.

Arrival

We landed on RWY 36 ahead of schedule and after a really quick taxi of just about three minutes we reached our remote parking stand 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Once again, well done, KLM. I'm still unsure what to think of them, on one hand, you get great views of the aircraft but on the other, it just delays everything and is quite annoying.

Going to miss seeing PH-BXO at Amsterdam when its retired, thanks for sharing as there aren't many opportunities to fly Boeing 737-900 (or 737-900ER) in Europe!
