INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone,
In mid-January I booked the flights to visit my family on the first weekend of March for my uncle's 80th birthday
The same day I decided to book tickets for Easter, flying from Milan-MXP to Pescara-PSR<a href="https://flight-report.com/en/report/76815/ryanair-fr6401-milan-mxp-pescara-psr/">

While the weekend for my uncle costed me 45 euros (same route) this one ended up costing almost 170 euros

The 26th February I received an e-mail from my Ryanair
My flights had been rescheduled this way:
MXP-PSR departing 3rd April at 6:10
PSR-MXP departing 7th April (on day after) at 6:30

Apart the fact I would have been forced to get two early wake up, this solution meant taking one day off on Friday and half day off on Tuesday, quite a waste honestly
Moreover, landing so early in Tuesday was posing risk of getting much later at work

Considering no other solutions were feasible, I was able to get a full refund from Ryanair

My parents kindly offered to pay the difference with an ITA Airways flight
The cheapest and best solution was this
3rd April LIN > FCO at 17:00
6th April FCO > LIN at 20:00

Total price: 240 euros

On Saturday morning my family and I would have drove to Francavilla (just 2 hours) and we would have come back to Rome on Monday morning

On March 24th I got an e-mail from ITA stating my first leg had been anticipated to 16:30
Nothing problematic

THE FLIGHT

After a very pleasant Easter it was time to come back home
On Monday morning my parents and I drove to Rome and arrived there on lunch time

With the flight scheduled for 20 I agreed to be carried at FCO around 19
We left the house around 18:40
The road was traffic-less, even being a moment of people returning home after the long weekend
Minutes before 19 my parents dropped me off at Rome-Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" Airport

Terminal 1, ITA Airways base, was pretty busy

Being ITA's desks empty I made a quick stopover to drop-off my bag and have my boarding pass printed

Almost all departures were from European and domestic destinations

Quite a nice billboard to celebrate FCO's awards

Took 5 minutes to clear the inspection

Departure area A was quite busy, I wonder how close they're to capacity (even being pretty new)

The apron was a bit empty, being the pier A1-10 (on the left) under renovation

Fortunately my gate was just at the entrance

The gate opened at 20, exactly the departure time
I guess some delay would happen…

Casually I was assigned an emergency exit row
Free extra-legroom is always appreciated

Soon into the flight the mood lighting turned blue for the service
Only a drink was served

I spent the rest of the flight napping a little
We began our descent 30 minutes into the flight

At 21:43, more than half a hour later than planned, we touched down at Milano-Linate Airport
Fortunately the taxiing was pretty fast
Disembark was as well

Being dropped off at the terminal minutes after 22

Bags were delivered soon
After retrieving mine I called the shuttle bus from the parking and went straight home
I arrived in San Pellegrino before midnight
