introduction
The West African Tour
These upcoming reports map my summer 2019 trip to and from the African continent. As this year is the 'Year of Return', Ghana is welcoming all persons of African descent back to the shores of the nation. It is a year long event marking 400 years since the first slave ship left Africa for the Americas. Ghana has been on my list for ages and I could not have chosen a better time to go.
This is the last leg of the trip series and it ends in NY JFK. Compared to my other reports this one is relatively short.

transit through lhr
Our incoming flight, BA78 was delayed about 2.5 hours as the aircraft was down for maintenance in London. As a result we landed at LHR with little time to spare. BA agents met us at our arriving gate with expediting cards to help us cut security lines and to get to our next aircraft BA117, in time.

Our aircraft from Accra Ghana, BA0078, G-CIVC.

BA 744 at T3.

We got the transit bus from T3, heading to T5 and I managed to get some shots of EK's A388.

BA Landor.

A320 lineup at T5.

One of the 100th Anniversary paint schemes getting ready to head to SFO.

As we got to the gate completely out of breath, the gate agents told us that they had moved our seats from windows to an aisle . I was not pleased and this seat was purchased months in advance. Nonetheless I was too tired to even bother. Our 744 was delayed thankfully by 40 minutes giving us enough time to casually stroll down the long air bridge before boarding closed.

Seat 54D was allocated to us. Second last row of the a/c. First time for everything, eh?

The best breakfast I have had in any economy cabin thus far.

In flight map as we cross into Maine

For the majority of the flight, the skies were overcast. One of the 4 RR engines could be seen.

The snack before landing. I wouldn't recommend to eat.

From my seat I managed to take a pic of the economy cabin.

Absolutely hate it too when they do such thing, but did they give you information in regards to your refund? Cause you can't expect them to take your money for something they did not deliver and not all airlines are really eager to do so. I'm still waiting on a compensation of them for more than five months, which they promised me they would pay within a few days.

Either you're flight date is wrong above or they served you some fruit that's expired by over a month haha :)

Thanks for sharing.
Exactly, I didn't understand why we were moved and I'm still waiting for a response on reimbursement from another flight a few months ago so I avoided the whole back and forth the second time.
My flight was intact June 29. I didn't even see the wrong date, I have to correct that lol.
