Review of KLM Cityhopper flight from Amsterdam to Stuttgart in Economy

I have decided to report that last segment in english as I've reorted the same flight already several times in French.
This flight is one of 6 I took to reach Palma - long way to go. No I haven't tried to avoid the direct LCC operators on the direct route. I had a AF/KL voucher expiring in Summer 2019 I just did not want to loose.

Transfer was done in a rush. Our flight from Madrid has some delay and the connection was anyhow short. So no time to take pictures in between. Our aircraft was PH-EZE, a E190 as many in KLM Cityhopper fleet.

We were parked next to the construction area for the gates A.

Pitch is fully sufficient in those aircrafts meant to operate flights below 2 hours.

I was placed over the wings - not the best to take pictures but I had no other good options together with the rest of the family.

Push back was done on time.

Stairs at AMS have no photoviltaic cells on the top. Probably for lighting over night.

We crossed the motorway.

… and joined that B777 KLM asia.

Service is pretty below average in my opinion. Last flight of the day departing at 9.10pm has only pretzels on offer together with a small cup of still water and a choice of drink(s). Other flights offer a sandwich.

Quality and taste are however pretty good.

Booking made on KLM ticket number (starting with 074) give now access to the AFplay offer which is pretty good in my opinion. French speaking passenger have a great choice of magazines and newspapers. English speaking as well - even if reduced. As for others… you'll find max 1 title in your mother language. This has to be improved to attrack europeans better.

Weather in Stuttgart was not that great. Cloudy with showers and lightning. However descent was much smoother than what I was fearing.

We arrived on time. Airport was empty except for this flight over there. Probably one of the overnight flights to Turkey.

… even if you have a connection. STR is anyway not used that much for connection. However Eurowings propose a few.

Bagae delivery was pretty quick. Well not for us tonight. Our 3 bags remained in AMS and it took the handling company 3 days to deliver them at our home adress in the subburds of Stuttgart. I complained to KLM telling them to change their partner… of course they have no other choice than continuing with this subsidiary of the airport. Other choices: Lufthansa group or… open your own operations ;) I received miles in compensation. This is fair as the prejudice was limited.
