This was our connecting flight from Vancouver to Singapore. We were pretty exhausted from the previous flight so this review will be pretty short.
Boarding started on time from the brand new terminal 2 that serves mostly China Southern. It's that time of the year when it's getting warm but not warm enough to turn on the air conditioning. So the terminal felt quite humid.

Cabin
China Southern A320 has an interesting cabin setup. The business class has 1 row with 4 seats. The economy class is separated into two sections divided by a lavatory and galley. Our seat was directly behind this divider. Like all bulkhead seats, there are no under the seat storage. The overhead bin above the seat on this side was also reserved for crew use. Luckily the bins on the other side was not occupied so we put our luggage there.
Not much to say about the seats except it was a bit hard and reclined quite a lot. In flight entertainment consisted of drop down screens that played Chinese movies with english subtitle. I wasn't interested in the movie so I watched videos on my phone for a bit.
The cabin was also quite warm. I turned on the individual air vent but soon after take off a foul smell started to come out of it. Not sure what's going on but the cabin cooled down a bit and I turned the vent off.

Lots of leg room in the bulkhead.

Catering
Appetizer consisted of smoked duck and potato salad. The main course was fried fish with plain rice, or chicken with oily rice. The chicken rice had a nice fragrant, probably due to the chicken stock the rice was cooked in. Both portions were substantial. I felt they were bigger than the meals served in the previous long haul flight.

The crew on this flight felt more polite and enthusiastic than previous flight.
