Having flown in on the early morning LHR-ZUR flight, I now easily connect through Zürich Airport. It's a great airport in my opinion!

Our second leg taking us to Napoli (Naples).

The airport is very relaxing, well designed and well spaced. It doesn't feel busy despite it being a very big international hub for Lufthansa Group airlines.

Here, the Zürich Airport Christmas tree. A nice addition.

My business class ticket enables me to use the ZRH Comfort Business Class Priority Lane at security.

And it also grants me access to any of the SWISS Business Class lounges within the terminal building.

Here we go!

Recently refurbished, I'm a very big fan of the design. It's clean, minimalistic and very well stocked.

A great selection of continental meats and cheeses, too (if that's your thing!).

Not to mention free-flowing SWISS miniature chocolates.

There's a chefs station cooking breakfast and lunch items.

I opted for an omelette with Swiss mountain cheese, a slice of brioche bread with butter, and an iced chocolate.

On the way to the gate, the apron is alight with Lufthansa Group airlines. And although not a member, I haven't flown Air Baltic yet, perhaps these will be next on my list?

I was placed into Group 2 for boarding priority.

Our aircraft today is HB-JLT, an Airbus A320 delivered in 2022. It's named "Madrisa" and is painted in the "Help Alliance" special colours since May 2022.

My seat, chosen by me at no extra charge for today's journey, is 1F.

Waiting for me on my seat is a bottle of still Valser mineral water, a refreshing tissue and a large Edelweiss pillow. This was soft and very comfortable.

The sky was a bit grim in Zürich so looking forward to getting above the clouds.

I also have the whole of Row 1 to myself. If it wasn't for these pesky dividers I could have enjoyed a poor mans lie-flat bed!

Off we roar, out of Zürich.

This part of Europe has some stunning scenery, that's for sure.

Drop down TV screens?! What a blast from the past!

Firstly, I was offered a drink from the bar. I opted for a Coca Cola Zero, on ice, with lemon.

The star of the show today was a cold main dish of teriyaki noodles, grilled chicken, mango, spring onion and chilli salsa and a chilli/lime mayonnaise. It was great.

It was accompanied by a warmed bread roll and butter.

A cheese plate…

…and a mango and coconut cream fool dessert. Also really tasty!

The beautiful views continued over lunch.

Before a tea and coffee service began. I went for an earl grey tea. It was served with another SWISS chocolate. I love these!

Making great progress down to Napoli.

Another chocolate?! Oh, go on then!

Lovely approach over the water into Naples today.

And that rounded off a lovely little business class hop. Great value, great crew, great catering and an all-round positive experience.
