INTRODUCTION
As I returned home after summer vacation I took some time to plan some visits to my family for the rest of 2025
On the 23rd August I booked the following weeknds:
13rd-14th September in Pescara, flying from Malpensa with Ryanair
7th-9th November in Rome, flying from Malpensa with Aeroitalia
5th-8th December in Rome, flying from Linate with ITA Airways
I payed 120 euros each for the first and the third one, while for the Aeroitalia flights I used 105 euros of the remaining 140 in the coupon I got last May
Unfortunately, as I reported in the last review, I lost the 13rd September flight to Pescara, "forcing" me to fly to Rome the following weekend
(The following screen reports 120 euros as total due to the fact I took it in the following days, I put it to shows the flight times)

ROUTING
Aeroitalia - Milan MXP > Rome FCO - Embraer E-190
Aeroitalia - Rome FCO > Milan MXP - Embraer E-190

Some stats:
23rd flight of 2025 (as of November)
Overall great-circle distance flown in 2025 (as of the reported flight): 32.816 km | 17.719 nm
3rd time on FCO-MXP route
BEFORE THE FLIGHT
Aeroitalia allows online check-in 24 hours before the flight
Fortunately this time I was assigned a window seat, the same I got for myself on the inbound leg

THE FLIGHT
With the flight scheduled at 21:10 I asked my parents to bring me at the airport one hour before
We left the house at 19:50
As we approached the airport we spotted dozens of cars illegally parking on the emergency lane while waiting for their relatives/friends to land
This practice is really a pain for the airport handlers and the police
Aeroporti di Roma tried to avoid it putting the long term parking free for 2 hours, but some people seems not to care

At 20:10 my parents dropped me off at Rome "Leonardo da Vinci" International Airport

Aeroitalia is using Terminal 3

My flight was among the last 20s to depart that evening
Most of them are European destinations, only a few are long-haul

Heading straight to the inspection

The control was almost empty, I got cleared in 5 minutes

Mandatory passage through the duty free

The departure hall was pretty busy

The boarding gate was ready to open as I got there

It opened 40 minutes before scheduled departure time

The moon was beautiful those days

This bird seems to be flying back and forth between Milan and Rome
Aeroitalia Embraer ERJ-190SR, SX-PTM
First delivery on 2nd May 2008 (17.5 years old, no infos about the first flight) to Baboo. It later flew for carriers like Azul and BA CityFlyer before entering Marathon Airlines fleet
It’s leased by Aeroitalia since March 2025
Can fly 100 passengers in full-Y configuration
I flew with the same bird con MXP-FCO-MXP routes both in June and July of this year and on the inbound too
With 6 flights it's the plane I've flown most times

Instant fuselage + moon

Same view of the previous leg

The load factor seemed a little bit higher than MXP-FCO

Perfectly on time we left the stand

Taxiing to the runway was pretty short
Since the last months some departing flights at FCO uses the middle taxiway to access runway 25, rather than taxiing to the bottom end

Lining up almost ten minutes after leaving the apron

Runway 16R-34L

Fiumicino town

Being on the A-side on FCO->Milan flights means facing the sea for most of the times
However some landmarks can be seen:
Livorno and Pisa

La Spezia

Descending somewhere over Piedmont, maybe Tortona

Turbigo power plant, a few miles south of MXP

Emirates A380 sitting on the ground

At 22:14, twenty minutes before scheduled, we touched down at Milan-Malpensa "Silvio Berlusconi" Airport

Taxiing was short, we docked next to a Condor A320 in yellow pattern

The bus ride to the terminal was pretty quick
My friend picked me up at the terminal around 22:40
I got my car ten minutes later and drove straight to San Pellegrino
Around midnight I parked under my house
See you at the next report
