Hello everyone,

I take advantage of a week’s vacation to go back to Taiwan and Japan.
Objective for routing: have the most av-geek possible.

And, for good reason, we start strong.
I learn in February, the passage of one flight per day of Korean Air on TPE in A380.

So, I will get to have the 3rd flight in A380 to TPE.
A 4th company in A380 for me:)

Here is the routing:  


Enchainement de vols

I will arrive from Paris with Air France in A350.
Comfortable night flight, but not very suitable for a FR.

Let us now focus on the "old-generation" IFE.
I will have to turn it on without any indication from the crew:

Just like on my last A380 flight on Qantas, the IFE will be very unresponsive.

The camera is of poor definition, but is branched KE: 





The choice of film seems correct.
Nevertheless, as soon as I choose one, it sends us to the page of the first film proposed:

This contrasts with the performance of Taiwanese companies on the same basis.

Conclusion

A mixed experience on the Korean Air A380.
Pleasure to try the A380 on a 4th company, but service not at the level of competition on the line, and aging cabin.
ICN T2 is a busy terminal but not at the level of T1.
TPE is a functional airport, but still aging.
