Another mini report, this time on the Swiss A320.

I didn't document this flight as much, but the aircraft that flew me to Zurich is HB-IJL, an A320 that started off flying for one of Swiss' predecessors, Swissair, although it was inherited to Swiss afterwards. A lot of what I say if from memory, especially about the airports and in-flight service, where I didn't take any footage.

BER AIRPORT

The airport was not bad, the security was alright, but after the security was duty free; a concept I despise, but is common across Europe. The airport was a bit bigger than I would've liked, but it was relatively modern and functional.

ONBOARD

While the seats are the typical awful Recaro NEK seats found throughout older LH Group aircraft, this plane had drop-down monitors, which probably were about as old as the aircraft, better than LH!

It even has a map!

DEPARTURE

The safety video (Which they finally changed not that long ago! Although it was the CGI one at the time.) was played as the plane pushed back.

Taxiing to the runway, you can make out the Luftwaffe (German air force) A350 in the distance.

Goodbye Germany!

IN-FLIGHT (OR WHAT I REMEMBER, ANYWAYS)

For an intra-Europe LH Group flight, free service was typical, a bottle of water, and a chocolate before descent. The screens showed Swiss promotions like new destinations and the then-upcoming Senses (Allegris) product renders for the A350. Everything went well, and the screens eventually went back to displaying the map.

ARRIVAL

Upon descent, the screens showed connecting flight info, which was useful.
Switzerland comes into view on the approach.

Welcome to Zurich!

One last look at that old-school A320 cabin (with the Enhanced-style bins) as the plane disembarks.

Conclusion

An uneventfully good flight on Swiss. No WiFi, but the content on the screens kept me entertained enough. Service wasn't that bad, either.
