Hello everyone,
The last time I visited my family was late January. The visited me in mid-March so I decided to pay a short trip in Rome the second weekend of April, one week before a big Easter trip I organized.
By the mid of Febraury I checked on ITA Airways website and got my usual tickets for 115 euros
Friday 11st April LIN-FCO 21:00-22:10
Sunday 13rd April FCO-LIN 20:00-21:10
Unfortunately the 8pm flight from LIN was more expensive, so I got the 9pm one
At lunch time of Sunday I got a notification from Apple Wallet (where I had saved my BP)
The reported departure time was 21:00, not 20:00
I logged in on ITA Airways app and digging into my reservation I understood my flight had been cancelled
The system automatically put me on the following flight, one hour later
Not an issue actually, but so strange I didn't get any notification from the app or an e-mail
THE FLIGHT
I left home at 19:40 and around 20 my parents left me at Rome-Fiumicino Airport, terminal 1
I entered the terminal one hour before scheduled departure time

Lamborghini showcased as part of the 173rd anniversary of the foundation of the Italian Police

Even if the check-in was not busy, the inspection area was a bit packed

Almost all lanes seemed to be opened
I cleared the check-point in ten minutes

The departure lounge was full of people

As shown on the screens my gate was A32, at the beginning of the pier

ITA Airways Airbus A320-200, EI-DSW
First flight on the 1st Semptember 2008 (16.6 years old), delivered to AirOne than transferred to Alitalia in 2009 and than to ITA
From December 2014 to April 2019 it carried a special promotional livery dedicated to Jeep Renegade
It's equipped with 171 seats in mixed C-Y configuration. The plane is dedicated to tennist champion Francesca Schiavone

Boarding commenced a bit later then scheduled, but was made fast by self-boarding gates

A fellow plane was sitting next to us

We left the stand less than 10 minutes after planned

Lining up on runway 25 after a brief taxi

And in the air, spotting FCO Terminal 3, runway 16R-34L and Fiumicino town

Since I was pretty tired I spent most of the time napping
I woke up as the cabin was being prepared for landing

Approaching Linate from south, flying over San Donato

One minute earlier than planned we touched down at Milano-Linate Airport

We reached the hardstand in no time, welcomed by two British and German birds

First time I spot this Boeing 767 stop-bar in Linate, I definitely would love to see that wonderful plane landing there once

Taking some good shots of my plane heading to the paxbus

In a few minutes the bus left us at the terminal
I immediately found a shared car and drove to the parking spot of my car
I arrived home around midnight
Stay tuned for other reports
