Introduction
Hello amigos!
Welcome to this FR, covering a domestic hop on Sky Express between Corfu and Athens.
This trip was part of my Greece series, and the last part of it. Other flights on this trip were:
Enchainement de vols
- 1
- 2
- 3
I will not be posting the return flights as they were pretty much the same as the inbound flights.
Without further ado, let's get to business…
At Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport
We dropped our rental car at the office and then they took us on that very same car to the airport.

Inside..it was pure chaos with tons of tourists from the UK (and Ireland?) trying to head back home…

Sky Express' check in counters were squeezed in a corner of the check in zone. The counters were not open at the supposed time (sign of things to come…)

Once we checked in…it was time to pass through security, which involved a huge queue

we were then spit into the obiquitous duty free maze

Our flight was delayed indeed…we had some Mythos while we waited.

Boarding
We were called to board quite late…well, at least we were not connecting, but we would loose our last night in Athens. CFU doesn't have any jetbridges, so while we boarded we had a view to the local fauna, and the smells of JetA1…nice

Boarding my first Sky Express plane, still carrying the old livery.

Inside, the plane felt dated and…H O T!!!

We spent quite a while on the tarmac, waiting to be cleared to take off. In the meantime we were baking alive. WTH…. Well time to explore the seatback pocket. Turns out the Skyserv lounge is SKY Express's….do not recommend.

Seat pitch was adequate for the short domestic hops in Greece.

Enroute to Athens!
Finally we were cleared to go…

One last glimpse of Corfu and its airport (I regret not spending some time at the runway to experience the Greek SXM experience

The rest of the flight remained pretty much uneventful. We had a snack service though. Totally unexpected. You could totally do something like this Iberia!

Cabin ambience mid-flight

We landed as the sun set, providing gorgeous views of the gulf…sadly my camera and the scratched window do not cooperate for proper photography.

We parked at a remote position…and we were bussed to the terminal
