Hello Everyone,
Welcome onboard my first flight on the BA A350 from Heathrow to Las Vegas.
As I’m usually a loyal Skyteam flyer, however my friends had already booked this flight in advance, so I was keen to try out the BA 350. Albeit, in economy.
We had a great flight down from Glasgow with really friendly BA crew then had a few hours connection to enjoy a few refreshments before boarding.
Boarding commenced on time from Terminal 5B and the flight looked pretty full despite the seatmap looking rather empty at check-in.
Our ride for today, G-XWBJ, a one year old A350-1000 performing BA275.

Views as we board. Oneworld 777 on show too!

Finding my way past Club World to my economy seat, 30J.

Here’s seats 30 J & K. Some decent legroom too.

View across the wing from Row 30.

We were delayed almost 1.5 hours in departing. Allegedly this was due to some lively passengers who were removed from the flight. We missed all the drama and were unaware of what happened.
Just as some rain showers appeared, it was time for “doors to automatic and cross-check” as we pushed back and made our way to Runway.

I moved to the window seat 30K as this remained empty.
Time for our takeoff run and the huge A350 powered into the skies.

Service began with some drinks and a snack followed by the main meal as we coasted out over the Atlantic.

The meal was very tasty and a decent sized portion too. Followed by some more wine and a browse of the entertainment system. Moving map on my empty seat. Such a shame BA don't have tail cameras installed on the IFE.

Soon the sun started to set and provided some nice photos.

Second meal service as we got nearer to LAS. Again, really tasty!

Shame my iphone is so bad at night shots as we approch Las Vegas.

Parked and on our way.

Thanks for the nice FR with beautiful pictures! I havent flown on the A350-1000 yet so thanks for that!
The meal looks decent indeed.
Me too but it's nice to see what the competition is doing sometimes too ;)
Great report as usual! I've only been in Club on the BA A35K, but it's a beautiful aircraft inside and out, in all cabins! I will get to try out WTP on the 35K in the fall.
There aren't many connection between Europe and Las Vegas so it's nice that BA have this route, and it must be popular given the capacity on the 35K!
You definitely had some of the best seats in Y, the legroom looks fantastic. Meals looks good for Economy as well--it's nice that there are two full hot meals, which is getting more rare on TATL flights, even to the West Coast.
Thanks for sharing!
