a morocan trip
Hello everyone and welcome on this single flight report from my trip to Casablanca.
I didn't take that many pictures on the way out from London Heathrow, I do apologise.
Avios claimed: 269
Tier points: 10
The flight was booked via British Airways, and even though I flew with BA from LHR to MAD, the second leg was operated by IB.

The flight was operated on an A320.
What Iberia offers in between seats is below average as there is 31 raws, a similar configuration used by low-cost Easyjet.

Again I am sorry I just have this image from my early trip from London Heathrow.

AT MADRID ADOLFO SUAREZ - BARAJAS AIRPORT
I arrived on the shengen T4 building and I do remember having to have used the transit to the T4S dedicated to non schengen destinations.

on board the A320
Aircraft: Airbus A320-214
Registration: EC-XXX
Engines: 2x CFM56
Age: XXXX
Layout: Y186
We pushed back from our gate near the tower on the T4S.

That also tells you how bad the resolution was on mobile phones (at least mine) at the time!!
I miss these A346 and especially in the old livery!

I don't remember exactly but it seems that I managed to change seat and come a bit more forward in the cabin.

The seat is the well known recaro seat that we can still find nowadays, and with the coat hook.

I remember I didn't pay for any BoB drinks/snacks.
The magazine review..

The business seats at the time were rewarded one of the best amongst the industry..

An add about Iberia Express..

The famous and beloved fleet page with a lot of aircrafts that are not present in the fleet anymore like the CRJ200.

The extend of the Iberia Network at the time..

And finally our descent started… It wasn't such a long flight after all.

at casablanca - mohamed V airport

I took the train to go into town - a much faster and cheaper way than the taxi..

The very famous mosque of Hassan II…

Casablanca!!! <3 <3 <3
The movie was filmed in Hollywood but it's my favorite romantic movie and I even have Carly Simon's version of As Time Goes By on vinyl. (sigh)
I HAVE to visit Casablanca and Rick's Café Americain by January 2024 or I will stop calling myself Pilpintu!!!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Hi Nelson and thanks for the comment!
Yes you have to go it is an amazing city - but why don't you stop by Europe too so you can meet a few other FR guys? I can ensure you that we have nice chocolates, even tho they are not trencitos!
Hwat?! Do you think I would ignore my mothers's advice and go with a stranger only because they offer me a chocolate??
Of course I would! XD
Jajajajaja!!!! Well you are more than welcome
Hey Chris,
At first I was surprised that IB had BOB on a flight outside of Europe, but then when you think about it, Morrocco is so close to Spain, the flights are very short so I guess it makes sense.
Interesting. I've mostly had London flights at T4S since the UK has never been in Schengen, though I these is a very small section on the very end of the main T4 building for non-Schengen European flights with a much smaller passport control zone.
I like your rating criteria. I use a very similar system myself. Basically to have a 10/10 for IFE you have to have free high-speed Wi-Fi and really good recent on-demand seat-back IFE. So you ratings make a lot of sense to me!
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Kevin and thanks for the comment!
I should first say again that I apologise for the poor quality of my pictures back then..
Maybe it was the policy back then?
Yes I found that very bizzare too but again maybe it was the case at the time?
Thanks my friend!
Yes i try apply that rating system not to favour any airline... But lately i found myself in a tricky situation as I flew Tarom and they only had water for service... Since for BoB is less than 5, I found myself ranking the service 5 even tho I wanted to put it a 0!
