hope to see you again mexico!

It was time to go home!!

Flying blue Miles earned with this flight: 236
Status earned: 2 XP
The way out will be fully paid out, and the return to be redeemed with Avios - I have had enough miles to get us all the way from Merida to Paris, we just had to buy the last leg to Lyon separately. I decided to then have two seperate bookings for each way, making it an unbeatable fare for a return trip to Yucatan.

Very surprisingly I could have checked in and choose my seat on the Air France App, even though this is a different airline, so +1 for Air France.

at merida airport
Just like I described on the way out, the airport of Merida is built in a U shape, each "leg" has gates and the middle the coffees/duty free. The whole airport is very well designed and it is really quick to go around, even for security checks.
A quick selfie (wearing a black tshirt) in front of our lovely E190 of the day..

Priorities were sort of - really sort of - respected. Loads of people in front of me in the priority lane weren't Skyteam elite ticket holders but the crew let them go..

onboard the e190
Aircraft: Embraer E190LR
Registration: XA-MAC
Engines: 2x CFM34
Age: 10 Years
Layout: Y100
The seats were almost the same as the one you find on Alitalia E190 fleet, thick and comfy, with a reclining option but unlike the B737 fleet, there was no IFE nor Wifi.

As all of my flights on aeromexico, the crew was super friendly and smily, even too smily - they will probably get some jaw issue soon XD
The service started soon after with this box - not sure why as on my previous flight it was given on tray tables directly.

Aeromexico Magazine, called Aire was thick and comprehensive.

and of course the fleet… where you can see this is an all Boeing airline - except for the embraer jets for the regional airline.
I must say this was of course prior to the B737max scandal

Approach om Mexico - always super impressive to fly over it

AT MEXICO - BENITO JUAREZ AIRPORT
We taxied towards the T2 terminal of Mexico, the hub of Aeromexico.

And look at this beautiful Quetzalcoatl livery of the B787-9.
