Linköping city airport to Amsterdam Schipol
My journey started at Linköping city airport at 4:30am. Linköping city airport is a small regional airport with 3 daily flights to Amsterdam, operated by KLM cityhopper.
The airport is not far from the city center, approximately 30 minutes walk. However if you do not want to walk that early you have to opt for the taxi, since there are not buses running this early.
The airport opens at 4:30 and already the taxi arrivals follow one another.
Airport's entrance

As said previously, the airport is very small but particularly good for the city's size.
On the following pictures you can see, the main hall as well as the check-in area and the entrance to the security check room.

The little security room. Even with only a small number of passengers, I felt kind of oppressed and compressed in this little room.

Hereafter comes the departure lounge. A very nice, clean, pleasant room. There is 2 gates, we boarded at the gate number 2. In this area you can find, many seats (basic ones, computer seat zone), plus a "fika" zone with some coffee, thea, etc for free. What a nice touch. Moreover, for the Buisiness and First class passengers, there is a lounge part which seemed really cozy and pleasant.

The boarding was on time, it started at 5:30am.
The aircraft was just a few meters away from the terminal.

My seat was the 14A. Window seat.

"Room tour"
The leg room was correct. From my point of view it was good for a 1h25 flight. I am 180cm tall, to give you an idea of the space you can have. As you can see on the picture, my neighbour was taller than me and was quite limited about is leg room.
The flight was full with 88 pax.

We were ready for take-off 15 minutes before departure time. Always impressed by KLM and how quick they are to board all the passengers.
However, because of nose and airport restrictions, we could not take-off before the departure time.
We started the engine at 5:50am.
We starting rolling at 5:57am.
At 5:58 we were waiting on the runway.
Then at 6:00 precisely the captain pushed the engines and we took-off.
(Since it was a night take-off I did not take pictures).
After 20 minutes of fly, the flight attendants started to serve the collation as well as a beverage (or two if you wanted an additional glass of water).
The sandwich was very good. It was fresh and tasty. Plus, I took a tea as a beverage.

Book entertainment of the airline.

Very cloudy flight.

Approaching Amsterdam Schipol in a cloudy, foggy and rainy ambience.

Heading to our parking slot with the other Embraers (E190 & 175) of KLM Cityhopper.

Connection to the terminal with busses.

Layover of 4h30.
Next flight, Amsterdam to Clermont-Ferrand operating by Hop! for airfrance.
Welcome and thanks for your first FR.
The usual good experience on KL Euro hop.
I assume you work in the car industry if you flew to CFE next ;-)
Thank you :)
Well I am not in the car industry but it could have been the case
Thanks for your report and welcome!
I was surprised when KL announced LPI as new destination, but so far it seems to work out for them on this route.
Than you!
I guess the it's working because Linköping is an industrial city with major companies such as Saab. But I have also chocked that the aircraft was full since it is still a little city.
Welcome aboard! :D
What a comfy-looking waiting room at LPI!
Thanks for sharing a great report!
Thank you :)
Yes it was. The Scandinavian touch is always appreciate.
