Hi all,
This trip report is older from December 2010 of my flight from Madrid to Lisbon
First I wanted to share some aerial pix of Madrid from my United flight from New York to Madrid with United Boeing 757

I could not belive that I was able to take in one shot, the whole Madrid metropolitan area, as I always thought it was a very big city, well it's big but not that big, but a lovely city for sure and honestly it is one of my most favorite cities in the world

Now back to my flight to Lisbon
At MAD

Our plane

A cool old Egypt Air

Boarding

Taxing

Take off

Route map

Descent into LIS

Disembark via stairs

I really like the arrival hall at LIS

And some pix of Lisbon

I love these patterns on almost all sidewalks all through out Lisbon

Colombo centre one of Europe's biggest malls

Hope you enjoyed this FR :)

Thanks Aubin. Im glad you liked the pictures :)
Thank you for sharing this beautiful report with magnificent images as always.
The AeroSur 744 was called Torisimo and it was a leased plane from Virgin Atlantic. As SMilano said, it was a Bolivian carrier that replaced the national carrier LAB (Lloyd Aereo Boliviano).
Hope you had a lot of churros con chocolate to keep you warm during your time in MAD. ;)
Thanks so much Jetsetpanda. That is so cool that it was the Bolivian carrier since I thought BoA was around back then but apparently it's a rather new company then. Im glad you liked the pictures :)
Actually I did not get to try the churros con chocolate but I should have, they look so appetizing :)
Thanks for sharing this FR
Gorgeous aerial pictures
Interesting bonus of Lisbon
Thanks so much lagentsecret. I'm glad you liked the FR :)
Thank you for sharing this retro-FR!
Beautiful aerial photography of Madrid and on the flight to Lisbon. I'm surprised at the number of swimming pools there are, more of an American thing.
Load factor looks very poor on this flight between two Iberian capitols.
I'm surprised of how small their Iberian Peninsula domestic network is. Portugal is a small country, but I would have expected more domestic routes.
Thanks NG0085, I think the load was light since there are multiple daily flights between the 2 city.
The swimming pools were interesting, it's almost like every house has to have a swimming pool in that neighborhood lol.
Yes, it's very odd that they have very few routes in mainland Portugal.
