I'm glad the Harare flight got into Jo'burg early. By the time I went through the international connections rigamarole and up to the departures area, my flight to Nairobi was already boarding. This again required taking a bus out to the plane.
I do like how South African have updated their business class cabins on these Airbus planes. They look smart and the seats are quite comfortable for a four hour flight.

Economy was maybe 70% full and there were only a handful of people in the business class cabin.
Lunch was served soon after take off

I had the salmon, which was delicious and the chicken, which was just okay.

We landed in Nairobi about 15 minutes early. We pulled up to the gate and waited for 10 minutes for the airbridge to pull up to the plane. Meanwhile economy passengers were already deplaning from the rear stairs. We finally got off the plane but then also had to go down the stairs to be bussed to the terminal. Immigration was actually not too bad and my bag was already on the carousel when I got to baggage claim.
Nice to see a report on the new SAA narrowbody Business class. Glad they dropped the weird 2-3 configuration for a more traditional 2-2. The new seats and cabin look nice and modern. Thanks for sharing!
