After overnight in Larnaca, it was time to go back to Heathrow via Athens.

Larnaca terminal was large with lots of shops but I headed to Aegean Airlines lounge, which was crowded that afternoon. The food selection there was not bad.
The plane, A321, SX-DGQ, arrived late from Athens, but bording procedures started right away. It shall be noted that C class passengers as long as Star Alliance GOLD holders can board before the other passengers through the left side of the gate. This is very convenient allowing more space for the hand luggage and also more confort seating onboard awaiting for the boarding to be completed.
A flight time of 1h15 was announced for that afternoon. Still on the ground welcome drinks (choice of water, orange juice and champagne) were offered to the 8 C class passengers.
Take-off was heading West in the direction of Limassol which was overflyed soon after.

Despite the short flight time and surprisingly the service was full of the details of a longer european flight. Hot towels and menus were handed over by the crew 5 minutes after take-off. First, a round of drinks and crackers was offered, as usual standard of the airline service:

After this crew took note of the choice for the main course and a towel was set on each seat table. Just after this a large hot tray came including, all together, the Appetizer and main course plates, according to the choice of each passenger. The cold plate consisted of manouri cheese with pineseeds on crispy spinach leaves, escalore and salad leaves, goji berries and honey mustard vinaigrette. In my case, my option for the main course was chicken cubes and artichoke hearts in lemon finocchio sauce on cretan pasta and anthotiro grated cheese. Besides this there was the cheese selection of feta cheese and kasseri cheese with dried fruits. Hot bread was offered several times during the lunch.

Just after this the usual dessert plate, with greek speacialities was served with an excellent appearance.

There was still time for coffee, this time my option was for an expresso accompanied by Leonidas chocolates.

It was an excellent service by Aegean on this short flight.

Good Evening,
Thanks for sharing this report on Aegan (there is not many reports on Aegan's Business Cass).
The catering seems to be good.
Unfortunately, no pictures of LCA...
See you,
