This part is about our return back to Toronto from Dubai via Vienna by Austrian airlines
Austrian check in at terminal 1

After passing huge lines at passport control and passing security check we went down to the tunnel that connects the terminal to the airside terminal

Shops at terminal 1

Some books in Arabic

Picture of Dubai's future terminal at world central airport. It looks not bad but I kind of like DXB and it's awesome location right next to Dubai's city centre much more

Rendering of future Kuwait airport's terminal, which is very nice

Rendering of Rome's future terminal. I had no idea about this one. Looks like FCO is expanding nicely

Inside a book. The Arabic alphabet is the same as Persian (Farsi) alphabet of Iran but words mean totally different things except for some similar words. It's like English and Italian, same words but different meaning with some common words.

A cute camel that I got for myself :)

Going over Iran

First they served a snack sandwich, which was tasty

Around 1:30 hour before landing in Vienna, they served the breakfast, which was very delicious as well

Disembarking

A look at our plane

Vienna's new terminal does not have much to do except some shops at the beginning of it, also it's very dark and I wished they used brighter furniture. It was also very hard to take pictures of planes due to glass reflection

But it had an amazing thing, which is these seats that you can sleep on. It's very handy and useful for passengers with long connections and they were super comfy.

And I slept on this comfy seat for the next 2 hours before our flight to Toronto :)

Hope you enjoyed this FR :)
thanks for you report,
I guess you found the right place to sleep in VIE before your flight to YYZ.
I'm quite astonished as OS made effort for economy class (IFE is huge!)
See you!
Thanks Benoit. Yes, for sure OS has one of the best economy products or maybe the best. It's very comfortable.
Thanks for the FR!
The OS product looks good for this segment, which is probably expected since they are competing with Gulf carriers on these routes. The 763 (2-3-2) is always a great cabin for comfort, better than the high-density 3-4-3 that OS uses on the 772 (as shown in the safety video).
A snack and full meal is correct catering for this route, and the offering looks good by Do&Co.
Why do the 'reserved' seats in economy get J-class blankets?
As far as I know, these seats come with extra legroom and can be booked for 70€ (on longhaul routes). So you would probably expect some nice extra features economy class usually doesn't offer.
Thanks NG085 for the info. Oh, good eye, I did not notice the J class blankets on the reserved seats. I'm not sure why they give out those blankets there.
Thanks for this FR.
I love the look of the new OS cabin.
The timing of the flight does not allow for any lunch or dinner, but the breakfast they serve is indeed nice and elaborate.
Thanks very much KL651. Yes, their cabin is very nice, fresh and the seats were comfortable. The breakfast was very good and tasted good too.
Hello,
Thanks for this nice report.
I like the cabin & the catering is ok.
See you,
Thanks so much Mathieu. I'm glad you liked the FR :)
