Hello and welcome to my flight report!
This is the inbound flight of my trip on Asiana A380 after spending 5 days revisiting Seoul and meeting up with friends and enjoying Seoul’s summer air.
I really love this city. It has a metropolis feel mixed with the traditional buildings here and there then it has the Mount Namsan standing on the background.

The routing is as followed
OZ742 BKK-ICN Asiana Airline C A380 –>> http://flight-report.com/en/report-9385.html
OZ741 ICN-BKK Asiana Airline C A380–>> You are here
This time I chose the seat 10A via online check-in just to experience the left-hand side of the cabin. The load factor was a lot better than my outbound flight 4 days ago.
I took the airport bus from my hotel near the City Hall metro station. I did not remember the bus no. but it was a convenient way to reach ICN.
What’s more, you got to enjoy this view.
The journey took a bit more than one hour and I arrived at the airport.
OZ check-in counters are located in row L, there were quite a number of passengers waiting in the queue for J pax. It’s worth noting that Star Alliance Gold pax along with OZ’s own elites have their own counter(s) separated from the J pax, which at that time had a also a very long queue.
Waiting in line. Then was called to check in at the F counter by staff which was a nice plus. Finally got my boarding pass and a premium lane card for BKK which was not necessary for me.

Security check took some time as OZ doesn’t provide J pax with any Fast Track facility at ICN (correct me if I’m wrong but I didn’t see any dedicated lanes.
After that I went to the Business Class lounge which was right behind.

The lounge is spacious, spreading into two wings with plenty of seating areas. The decor is also very nice and cozy. It feels more like someone’s home library. The natural light is always appreciated. The catering was a bit disappointing though.

When It was 5 minutes to the scheduled boarding time I left the lounge. It took me less than 5 minutes to reach the gate 43. When I arrived, boarding had begun and I walked through with all other J pax. There was a gigantic queue for the Y pax. It was Friday so many weekend travellers to Bangkok I guess. :D
my ride today

the exact same cabin as 4 days ago.
seat control

storage space on the side which I love.

Leaving South Korea…

After the seat belt sign had been turned off, the FAs sprung into action. It was a full load at least here in the smaller J cabin. That resulted in the less personalised service than the outbound flight. The crew were still friendly, polite and courteous as always but I found the crew on this flight lack a bit of attention. For example, The plastic cover of the headphone and an empty bag of nuts never got cleared until after the dinner service. This is the opposite of the crew on the inbound flight who were a lot more proactive.
The menu was distributed (finally and this time they didn’t take it away after you ordered. Nice :D) I chose the Western option on this flight because the Korean option was Ssambap which I was not fond of.

Watching ‘About Time’ with an imposed Chinese subtitle. No way to turn the sub off.

Now it’s my turn. Your shift is over now” said the Moon the to Sun ;P

The tabled was set. Getting ready for the dinner service.

The appetizer was Quail Egg with Cravlax roll and salad.

The main dish was Deep Fried Seafood served with Vegetable Fried Rice. It tasted fine but the presentation looked a bit like an economy meal.

Fruit, cheese and crackers followed.

The dessert was Haagen-Dazz Vanilla ice-cream (which SQ serves in Y) and I chose the Ginseng tea with honey to go along with it.

After dinner was done, there was not much time before landing as the flight time was reduced to 4hours 50minutes due to tailwind.

Thank you ;)
Thank you too for reading :D
thanks, going to go south korea
Hope you enjoy South Korea :D and Thank you for reading
Thanks for sharing! I imagine having a full flight on an A380 in Business class is hard for the crew to serve everyone in a consistent and timely manner. The seats are great and the lounge in ICN seems nice.
You're welcome and thank you for reading :D
The crew did struggle a bit but since this was part of their 'crew training' flight this was forgivable.
I personally like that lounge very much. One of my favourite lounges so far.
