This one covers my segment from Toronto to Frankfurt on the way to Tehran. I chose a long layover so I can go to the city and take some pictures. I arrived in FRA around 6:30. Hang out in the airport till 8:30 and then went to the city and came back to the airport at 3 pm for my 5 pm flight to Tehran.

AC does not yet have any 737s but this model is very nice

Super long corridor to get to the International area

This is the first plane I saw and was our plane. Very beautiful :)

I love terminal 1's departure area. The whole seating area looks like a huge lounge with comfy chairs and ipads all over free of charge to everyone

This was the gate area for AC to Istanbul and after everyone boarded it was so empty

For the meal I chose the chicken but unfortunately I did not like it at all and did not eat it. Just ate the salad and the cake

Around London they served the breakfast but it was way too light to be considered a snack or breakfast, Just a warm cake.

Then I went to check out the Squaire, which is the nice looking building next to the FRA terminal. This is a regional train station at the underground level with Shops, office and hotels in the main building.

Then around 8:30 when the sun came out I took the metro to Frankfurt.

I hope you enjoyed this FR :)
Beautiful report as always! The terminal at YYZ looks really nice. 777-300ERs are beautiful aircraft. Too bad AC has decided to go with a 3-4-3 configuration in Economy on their new 77Ws. It looks like your 77W was the older 3-3-3 configuration? I can't quite tell. The dinner looks decent, visually, although you say it wasn't good so that's a shame. the breakfast is a joke...and I thought AF and KL's breakfasts on Transatlantic were bad. Awesome pics of Frankfurt. It's nice to take advantage of long layovers and take a break to see a new city. I did the same thing in Frankfurt last year and built in a short overnight into my itinerary. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next reports!
Thanks so much Kevin. I'm very glad you liked the report. lol, I know the breakfast was like a total joke :D
You're right, I don't remember if it was a 3-3-3 or 4 in the middle. I hope the new 777 are still comfortable as for example Lufthansa seats are very tight in width in their A340-600.
Thank you for sharing this report with stunning photos as usual.
AC catering is not the best, but at least they do not resort (yet)to serving packaged cookies or brownies for dessert just like the U.S. carriers.
Thanks so much Jetsetpanda. Yes you are right. To me their seat comfort is more important than their catering :)
Thanks for sharing this FR
A lot of great pictures of the airport and the visit of Frankfurt
Great legroom and seat width. Very comfortable
How tall are you ?
Unfortunately it's not possible to see the seat configuration
AC's catering is a joke and it's not appelling at all
The packaging is the same as KL's but there is much less items on the tray and of course not the famous KL's snacks basket between the meals
Indeed! Last April I had a 77W flight from MUC-YYZ on the "normal" 3-3-3 and it was super comfy. In Sept on a flight from YYZ-CDG, I flew on the high-density 77W. It was awful. At least Emirates compensates with legroom (+1 inch, +2on the 77L). Imagine from YVR-SYD on the 77L, its the same setup, or even the flights to HKG or NRT. No thanks.
This is one of the low density 77W's in 3-3-3 layout I confirm the legroom is great, 32-33' IRC, their new crappt high density 77W are MUCH less comfortable.
Thanks so much Lagentsecret. I'm glad you liked the pictures. I'm not very tall around 178 CM :)
I totally agree, the catering in AC is not that great at all.
Thanks for checking out the FR :)
Thanks for this great FR. I'm disappointed in my country's airline, they should be embarrassed to serve such a ridiculous breakfast. The dinner is very light as well...
Beautiful pictures!
Thanks so much AC881. Oh, I did not know that seats are tighter in the new version of AC 777s. That's a shame. I wish they'd stop making economy tighter for poor passengers each couple of years. Someone has to stop this but airlines never care about the people, the only thing they care about is their pocket.
Pictures are fine, thank you for this FR ! ;)
Thanks very much :)
Nice report and pictures. AC catering is absolutely the worst I've experienced flying internationally, i simply refuse the joke of the "breakfast" or snack.
Yes, you are right. Absolutely the worst I have seen in all flights I've bee n on. Such a shame
