Hi Everyone,
Welcome to a new series of flights that took me to Singapore for a mini Flight Report meeting that was held there. This is the program:
BSL - CDG AF Y / ATR 72: Here you are
CDG - SIN AF J / B777-300: Later
SIN - AMS KL J / B777-200: Later
AMS - BSL KL J / E190: Later
Usually I don't report fligths betweek BSL and CDG unless there is something special, and there was something special.
Nobody at the check in desk, I had three ladies in front of me that fighted to welcome me ^^
I ask if the plane was full and I've been answered that there are 30 open seats and that they'll block a seat next to me for me to have more legspace. That's a kind attention.
Nobody at the security controls, and I am airside within minutes. A bit of spotting with this MD83 from Bulgaria Air Charter:
And this Hercules C130 from the Qatari Air Flights, that is often in Basel, sometimes we even have flights with a Globemaster:
Our plane:
Boarding starts at 04:10 and ends at 04:20, we took off 15 minutes early. This is the cabin, an ex American Eagle bird, with not that comfortable seats, that do not recline. Legroom is average:
The MD80 logo and a LX RJ 100 that will belong to the past at BSL from the summer timetable as LX will definitively stop their OPS at BSL.
Some cargo birds, BSL is growing fast this year, with the new freight terminal and the arrival of Emirates, LAN Cargo (both with 77F), Air Bridge Cargo (747-800F), Korean (747-400SF or 77F) and Qatar that is announced for 2015.
That's the new thing that was the aim of the flight report. The apple cake is replaced by a plain madelaine :)
A last shoot of the cabin to show its age and that is pretty dirty
bonne histoire
