Hi all,
This trip report is around 5 years old and I don't have many pictures from it but I thought I'd share it anyways. This was a 5th freedom flight between Toronto to London Heathrow by Air India. Air India flew from Toronto to LHR on the way to New Delhi and people who wanted to fly to LHR could use Air India for that segment and I decided to choose this route as I always wanted to try Air India :)
Some people do not have positive experiences with Air India but as for me this was a very enjoyable and fun experience for me and I experienced no issues with them at all.
The aircraft was very nice, cabin was very modern and clean with very nice and comfortable seats that had foot rest. The IFE system was nice with a mixture of western and Hindi movies. The crew were nice too and I did not have any issues with them at all.
This flight departed early in the morning around 7 and arrived in the evening in London.
Below are the pictures from this flight. Enjoy :)

I really liked the crew uniform, the traditional Indian dress, stylish with a nice colour

The inflight magazine. I believe they have changed this magazine's name couple of times since then

Nice iFE

Great mood lighting during the flight

Meal service started

The breakfast, which was tasty

The end of a very nice flight with Air India

Some pictures of London

It's always a delight to come across your reports. Great pics as usual. It seems that the ticket prices on these fifth freedom routes tend to be competitively priced, especially in the premium cabins.
Thanks so much Jetset panda, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. The price of my ticket for this flight was around $1,080 USD, which is a good price for London considering it was in the Christmas holidays and was cheaper than what was being offered by other airlines flying to London at that time.
Thanks for sharing this unique report on a route I didn't even know existed. I am pleasantly surprised by Air India here. You don't hear too many positive things about AI, but the cabin seems really nice and comfy in a 3-3-3 configuration as opposed to the aweful 3-4-3 configuration becoming more and more common. The mood lighting is nice too! London at Christmas time is always magical. Your photos captured that spirit.
Thanks so much Kevin. Yes, I was really glad that I had a good experience with them as I has heard not so great things about it but it turned out to be very nice. Indeed London has the best Christmas decorations in the world, I don't think any city beats London in this sense at least not in North America.
