I had a good night sleep at the Landvatter Airport hotel and after an invigorating shower and a quick breakfast I walked to the terminal for my early flight.
The terminal was busy with lots of people flying on a Monday, but the security lines moved quickly and soon I was on the other side. Some passengers stopped to check the departure screen for their respective flights.

The duty free shop is strategically located in the middle of the terminal.

Arrived at Gate 12 for my flight. The gate agent was focused on the computer the entire time and hardly looked up except when passengers asked her a question. When it was time to board another agent showed up to assist and boarding was quick and orderly. I noticed that my boarding pass had my AS frequent flyer printed and I asked the second agent to insert the DL one instead. She tapped and paused for a few seconds, then told me that my DL account was entered.

When we boarded we had to go through the ramp and use the stairs to go up to the plane. Thankfully the plane was very close but this would have been horrible under heavy rain. It was just drizzling when we boarded.

A FA was at the door welcoming passengers as they entered the plane. I found out that my neighbor took my window seat and was dozing off. Actually it worked out for me since it was dark outside and I wanted to have an aisle for easy access to the WC.
Take off was uneventful and the FA's started the service with drinks and a sandwich. I think a pastry would be more appropriate for a flight leaving at this time. The sandwich was fine and the box had a nice presentation.

Then I visited the WC and took a shot of the galley.

Most people went to sleep and soon we were getting ready to land in AMS.

We parked in the ramp and took the bus to the terminal.

Very nice sandwich :) and i'll be going on that E90 but as finnair
I think you will get a sandwich or something better on AY, right?
Thanks for your comment.
Cute packaging for the sandwich
Nicely done indeed.
Thanks.
Thanks for sharing.
I'm ok with you, a viennoiserie would be better than a sandwich at 6am.
See you soon for the last leg.
Nice to see I am not the only one who thinks that way.
Thanks and see you later.
Thanks for sharing this FR
Gorgeous cover picture
Not a very pleasant boarding
Was it a cheese sandwich ?
The packaging is great
And another bus to disembark : you're lucky
Flight arrived on time and that is what counts.
And usually you are a happy camper ;)
See you soon for your Dutch feast
Gorgeous cover picture
- Thanks. I'm glad it meets your standards. ;)
Not a very pleasant boarding
- It could have been worse if it was raining hard. I guess everything is relative.
Was it a cheese sandwich ?
- It had chicken and egg salad.
The packaging is great
- Dutch design at its best. ;)
And another bus to disembark : you're lucky
- Yes, I got my exercise for the day. I didn't have to go to the gym.
And usually you are a happy camper ;)
- You know I have my standards, but others I know have stricter ones :P
See you soon for your Dutch feast
- I promise you a lot of food pics to show you my feast. ;)
Merci.
Thanks for sharing this report, lovely photos. Decent product form KLM with a sandwich. And of course the ERJ line is always a pleasure to fly on.
Not much to complain about and it's an early morning flight so people are sleepy and not as critical ;)
Thanks.
Thanks for this FR.
Ouch the departure time really hurts! But there's no choice if you wanna catch the KL connection flight to SFO.
Nice sandwich really. I guess most KL pax from the Netherlands and Scandinavia prefer something salty for breakfast.
Did you prefer LH Regional or KL Cityhopper?
I personally think KL Cityhopper is more generous with their catering. The GOT-AMS on KL is shorter than MUC-GOT on LH, yet KL provided a sandwich instead of a piece of cake. Also, the presentation on KL's sandwich was better and one can tell that more care was put into its design.
Another thing I noticed was that KL only had 2 FA's while LH had 3 crew members.
Thanks.
