Once again, hello to everyone and welcome to the 2nd leg of my FR. For this flight, I was affected by Typhoon Kalmaegi which was in the vicinity of Hong Kong, hence some flights were cancelled. Luckily, my flight was operating as per normal without any delays being reported.

As usual, internet check-in had already been done, hence we just had to drop off our bags and get our boarding pass issued.

Inflight entertainment system, with a USB cable provided for charging. Another plus point is the holder below the entertainment system for passengers to place their personal items in. The touchscreen is very responsive. No more remote controls were provided.
Seat pitch was good for me, as my height is only 1.65m, approx 5 foot 4 inches. Inflight magazine for September 2014 and Safety card as shown.

The planned flight path of the day. The captain reported that the flight to Bangkok would take 2 hours 11 minutes.
Point of origin: Hong Kong.
At this point of time, the captain informed us that our flight was subject to an indefinite delay, which meant we had to stay on the tarmac till ATC issued further instructions. Crew thus sprang into action by offering drinks and the entertainment system was activated to keep us occupied. The delay lasted less than an hour and we pushbacked more than an hour behind schedule.

Takeoff was extremely shaky and the aircraft was being hit by strong winds from the typhoon during the 1st few minutes after takeoff.
Meal service commenced about 45 minutes into the flight. My mum had this option, which is chicken porridge.
Breakfast tray meal presentation
I had chosen the sausage with eggs option.

Thank you for sharing this nice report with good images.
It's great that your flight was still operating despite the weather conditions with a solid CX performance except for the delay.
Thanks for sharing this report with us.
Crews are one of the best assetsof CX and the actering looks quite good for an economy flight.
The economy cabin is a bit dissapointeing and looks a bit old fashioned despite quite good IFE.Of course it's a different stoty in the J section !
Business is business, despite the strong wings expected to hit Hong Kong.
Fortunately, strong turbulence didn't last long after TO.
I still persist to think that the tray is a little bit too small.
Thank you.
Thanks for this FR.
Very nice service on a flight of this duration, at least by European standards.
The return on Scoot must have been a shock after a CX flight!
