I was concerned about having less than 1.5 hrs to connect from 2E to 2G, but those worries proved unfounded as the connection proved to be very smooth with agents from AF and Paris ADP being visible to assist and direct passengers to the right gates. I took the shuttle from 2E and was dropped in about 10 min. or less.
Terminal 2G feels like a stepchild with its basic facilities and lack of space. Upon entering we were cleared by some disinterested Immigration officials who did not even bothered to return the most basic greetings. I waited in a very crowded central room for the gate number of my GOT flight to be posted. A little after the official boarding time, the screen flashed G25 and I was on my way. Once there, I went downstairs to the door along with the rest of the passengers and an announcement was made by one of the gate agents saying that there will be a slight delay. The flight was delayed for 37 min. but the reason was not communicated to the passengers.
Most passengers were Scandinavians and there were a couple of families with children on today's flight. When I presented my boarding pass it beeped so the agent gave me a new seat assignment. It appears that in DL's haste to rebook me my previous seat assignment was cancelled. We were required to go through the stairs to board the plane so that presented the opportunity to take good pictures of the whole plane.
The FA at the entrance welcome everyone with a smile and soon I settled into my seat. Leg room was fine and I happen to love Embraer planes due to their 2x2 configuration. It's great to know that there is never a middle seat.

Adieu CDG.

The FA started the beverage service and honestly I was expecting the sweet or salty choices. To my surprise I was offered a choice between cheese OR salami sandwich from a basket. I chose the cheese one.

Time passed quickly and we were then ready for descend. The landscape outside was just gorgeous.

We arrived 25 min. late in GOT. I exited quickly and took the airport bus to my Elite Park Avenue hotel on Avenyn.
Disinterested is unfortunately often the most suitable word describing Immigration officials in CDG.
I share your liking the E-190. I understand the distance to Sweden is long enough to have more than a couple cookies on AF/Hop flights.
Sorry you did not identify the Swedish lakes - no, I'm joking ;-)
Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for commenting. I think that when it comes to naming lakes in Scandinavia I will leave that expertise to someone else. ;)
Thanks for sharing your experience with us on this flight.
I don't really like 2 G and am (in a postive way) surprised that transfer from 2E to 2G was smooth. It's true that CDG has improved and it shows.
The flight in itself is correct and the catering in line with the flight duration.
I also enjoy this plane which is confortable and , as you said, avoids the risk of having a middle seat !
It's always good to be surprised in a nice way. Smooth connection and a bigger snack. What else can I ask for? although 2G is a dump in my humble opinion. Thanks.
Thanks for this FR.
The airside bus connections between terminals 2E and 2F really are a plus, as this terminal is hard to get to otherwise.
The service is adequate for the flight of this duration. I wonder what the J class pax got.
My guess is something similar to Premium Economy on a route of this length. Now I am curious too. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this FR
Nice 2x2 configuration
Baguette aux raisins gouda AF has stolen the LH's recipes or is this from the Dutch gastroignominy ?
See you soon for another report
Well, you get sweet and salty at the same time with this sandwich, don't you? ;)
Maybe the catering chief is Dutch.
Dank je wel.
French immigration officers are always disinterested...I don't think I've ever heard one actually say hello or thanks before :-) CDG has an undeserved reputation for being difficult to connect through, but this has not been the case in years. It's actually quite easy to connect in CDG as your report shows. Thanks for sharing! Hope you enjoyed Sweden.
I enjoyed Sweden and of course I always love to indulge in some Scandinavian buffet. ;)
Merci.
