Six days in Punta Arenas went quite quick, but it was enough to cover almost all of tourist attractions/museums/historical sites related to Magellan and the Antarctic exploration (especially that of Sir Ernest Shackleton and Captain Luis Pardo). But all good things must come to an end, so off we went to the airport at around 7:30 AM to catch LA80 to SCL. It was still dark when I left and when I arrived at about 8 AM. Unlike in SCL, there were no self check-in kiosk here…
Here are some photos of the airport that I took (some were taken when I arrived in Punta Arenas, not when I departed):

I liked how compact the airport is. Notice that there was a whale decoration made of transparent plastic, suspended on the ceiling…
Soon after checking in and clearing the security, we were in the boarding room…

To the left was boarding gate 1, to the right were boarding gates 2 and 3 (my flight would board from gate 3). Unfortunately, the weather was once again rainy. So I would once again miss the views of Chilean Patagonia from air. Oh well…

Oh look, that was Aerovias DAP Bae146!

We took off into the rainy sky…notice the Magellan Strait in the background…
But it was always clear and sunny at the cruising altitude…

Meanwhile, I managed to snap a few photos from the breaks in the cloud cover…

That time around, the cloud cover extended further north than on my previous flight. I had to wait until 45-50 minutes before landing in SCL to get clear sky…
I can't get enough of those snow-capped mountain peaks…

We landed on time, taxied to a gate (not a remote one), then I went to the city by bus, had a lunch, and continued to my hotel on Uber. That's the end of this flight report, and thank you for staying with me.
