Hello everyone,
I am taking advantage of a week of vacation to go to Taiwan and Japan again.
Objective for the routing: to have the most av-geek route possible.
2nd stage: departure to Japan.
New destination (it seems never postponed to me): Komatsu (KMQ)
The opportunity to take a 2nd flight on Eva Air.
But, this time on single-aisle.
And a little surprise as a bonus ;)
Here is the routing:
Flight routing
- 1AF264 - Economique - Paris → Seoul - Airbus A350-900
- 2
- 3BR158 - Economique - Taipei → Komatsu - Airbus A321
- 4JL188 - Economique - Komatsu → Tokyo Haneda - Boeing B737-800
- 5AF279 - Economique - Tokyo Haneda → Paris - Boeing B777-300ER
We meet at the Taipei bus station.
It is 2:30 in the morning, and the metro to the airport is not yet open:

A bus passes every 30 min to the airport.
It is quite complicated to find one’s way in this station on several floors.
The bus to the airport leaves from the 4th floor, for about €4:

Arrival at T2 of the airport of TPE, after 45 minutes of journey.
This one is generally divided into two parts.
On the left, the counters for China Airlines and partners:

On the right, Eva Air and partners:

The luggage will be dropped off in 5 minutes.
The reception agent, very friendly, will give me my boarding pass, showing me the baggage tag.
Direction the PIF and the PAF.
On the way, I will stumble upon this space dedicated to the partnership between Hello Kitty and Eva Air:

With the derivatives:

The FIDS :

Security checks will be carried out quickly.
Then, to not change, a total change of scenery with CDG:

Head to the boarding gates on the Eva Air side of the terminal.

Each door is personalized in the image of one of the tourist assets of Taiwan.
In this case, on our way, the door C9:

With its B787-10 in Star Alliance livery:

And, our door, C10, under construction.
So, no particular decoration:

On the other hand, a nice surprise for us today.
The A321 in Hello Kitty livery :)
First, at night:

Then, by day, just before boarding:

Boarding will be launched on time.
Off the coast, only Eva Air:

Doar time :

My seat, the 20K :

The pitch is very good on the first row of Economy :

Headphones will be positioned on each seat.
They are in the colors of Eva Air:

The contents of the cover.
Unfortunately, nothing in the colors of Hello Kitty:

The in-flight magazine also offers a duty free service.
The model of our plane is sold there at a very steep price:

Thus, as the derivatives.
Also, very expensive:

Outside, loading operations continue.
The opportunity, to have even more in detail, this splendid livery:

And, our neighbour, an other Eva Air B777 :

The safety instructions will be broadcast on a common screen.
The ceiling lamp indicates the advanced age of the device:

We will postpone with 5 minutes of delay.
Our neighbors, are oh surprise, only Eva Air:

The ground team will greet us, almost as formally as in Japan:

Taxi to the runway end for takeoff.
In the distance, only Eva Air (and StarLux):

And, in front of us, another Eva Air, in A321.
The 2 smallest Eva Air, visible today:

Followed, by a Tiger Air, in A320:

Passage in front of the maintenance of Eva Air, with FINALLY, diversity:

We align on runway 05R :

Then, take-off :

Sight on Taipei :

Then, directly over the Northern coast of Taiwan :

Thus, as the clouds.
The climb will be quite turbulent:

Last sight on Taipei :

Before the cloud surfing :

Soon after take-off, breakfast is served :

Breakfast, cheese omelette.
The tray without the opercula:

Metal cutlery and logos:

Everything will be correct.
But, the portions, and the service as a whole, are much better than those that one could have in Eco, on a flight of this duration, outside Asia.
Outside, the crossing of the Pacific Ocean continues:

Approach will start 30 min before landing :

Overflight of Komatsu region :

Then, turn around, facing the sea:

On final :

Very smoothed landing on KMQ, but full spoilers power :

Exit of the track, facing an old condemned track:

We will go up the tarmac under a deafening noise.
And, for good reason, the airport also serves as a training ground for the Japanese army:

Arrival at the gate quite quickly afterwards.
Then, landing in the stride.
Cordial goodbye, to our great crew.
The airport is not very big.
JTA, for Okinawa, and ANA for Tokyo:

Fuselage shot :

What a wonderful livery :

Last sight on our aircraft :

The KMQ airport is in stark contrast to the country’s main airports.
In a country-style hall, control at the rather long border.
Then, retrieval of the suitcases in the process.
I will reach Kanazawa, by 'limousine bus', for €8, excuse the little:

Thank you for reading this report.
See you soon for the rest of the trip
