Salam :)
Balik Kampung or going hometown for celebrating 'Eid Mubarak'. Having a chance again to fly with lovely MH within this usual route.
It is still not too late for me to offer my deepest condolences to all those who lost their loved one in the Malaysia Airlines MH17 and MH370 tragedies. 2014 was the hardest time for Malaysia Airlines as losing their B777s in period of 5 months. We also know that Malaysia Airlines was in crisis and not in comfort place for some years. As a Malaysian, I do believes MH still have a opportunity to re-develop and restrengthen their products. To all the readers, do pray for Malaysia Airlines and generally for Malaysia. BE STRONG MALAYSIA :)
I have flown several times this year, with AirAsia for Kota Kinabalu-Kuching-Kota Kinabalu (no FR) and Malindo Air for Kota Kinabalu-Kuala Lumpur-Kota Kinabalu (with FR). Again, for Eid Mubarak I flied with Malaysia Airlines for Kota Kinabalu-Kuala Lumpur-Kota Bharu-Kuala Lumpur-Kota Kinabalu (here).
A simple information about Kota Kinabalu (BKI). BKI is the second busiest airport in Malaysia after KUL. Serving for many international destinations and airlines such as Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Denpasar-Bali, Shenzhen, Singapore and Taipei on AirAsia.
For Malaysia Airlines, MH flies to Hong Kong, Taipei - Taoyuan, Osaka - Kansai, Shanghai-Pudong, Tokyo - Narita, Puerto Princessa, Bandar Seri Begawan and Perth.
Manila on AirAsia Zest and Cebu Pacific.
Seoul-Incheon on Korean Air, Easter Jet, Asiana and Jin Air.
Other airlines is China Southern (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Hong Kong Express (Hong Kong), Dragon Air (Hong Kong), Silk Air (Singapore), Spring Airline (Shanghai - Pudong) and Royal Brunei (Bandar Seri Begawan).
The online check-in boarding pass. Note that my seat was changed after boarding.

Some pictures at BKI terminal.

The drop-off passengers zone

As I brought myself early to the departure hall, I spend my time walking from end-to-end of the terminal. Just a solitary airside.

The waiting room.

The meal was served 30 minutes after take off. The options were Nasi Lemak and Fried Noodles with Fried Chicken.

After flying for 2 hours and 25 minutes, we landed at KUL. The pilot made some announcement and wished us Eid Mubarak. Only two pictures at KUL. :(

Sorry for poor pictures and languages.
I can understand the feeling in Malaysia after these two disasters. MH which was already ailing did not need that.
The report should be referenced MH2605; try to take landscape (horizontal) pictures whenever possible next time: they fit better on a computer screen.
The terminal looks eerily empty, even in the last picture before boarding. Was it empty, or you just took pictures where there was nobody in sight ?
Thanks for this FR !
Yeah, the terminal eerily empty as there's only few flights that morning. The airport will turns busy at after noon.
Tq for your advices and comments.
Will do better next time.
Hi, could you please put some text in the Summary section to explain your grades--that section helps better readers understand your impressions of the overall experience. By the way, the pas tense of fly is flew :-)
OK. Will edit them later. Tq for concerning.
Thanks for sharing this FR and Eid Mubarak
Try to have a better picture of the meal next time :)
See you soon for a next report
