Munich Airport was quiet this evening and I spent some time in the Lufthansa Senator Lounge at K gates satellite building area.
The lounge is spacious and the choices from the buffet are good although not super exciting.
Boarding started on time and I took my window seat in row 1 on this fully booked flight.
No big crew interaction on the ground - only the printed menu being distributed. A flight time of ca. 3 hours was announced.
We departed in the late evening and after a while the seatbelt sign was turned off.
Service was rather coolish on this flight and the cabin crew preferred more to hide in the galley than providing a very proactive service to the 3 rows of Business Class. Service started with nuts being distributed from a tray following by aperitif drinks served out of the galley. I had the Avionic signature drink which is always very nice.
Soon the warm dinner was served and I had the veal main course. The starter was tasty but the main course rather dry.
Drinks were offered once - but then for the rest of this long flight no proactive refills. You had to ask for everything.
I finished with a cup of coffee and some Baileys.
Also strange that no hot towels were offered which used to be standard on warm meal European flights of Lufthansa in Business Class (probably the bored crew just skipped this service step).
We landed on time and parked at a remote position using buses to the terminal.#
