I got to the airport with sufficient time in hand given I don't just like airports but also my plane spotting love keeps me coming with enough time to make sure I spot as many planes as possible.
Don Mueang Intl Airport (DMK) is the oldest of the two airports the city has the other being Suvarnabhumi Intl Airport (BKK) and is also the primary hub for low cost cariers like Thai AirAsia,Nok Air,Thai Lion Air etc.I personally love DMK cause its usually less crowded and has a very chillax calm type of vibe.

The Immigration and security was rather swift following which I proceeded to the terminal shopping/food court area and the best thing about DMK departures area is that since last year they have turned one of the halls facing the tarmac into a seating area with adjoining seats and tables all decked with charging ports and USB ports making this particular open lounge my personal spot to hang out and do my plane spotting.

The boarding started with about a 15 or so Minutes delay already which was due to the late arrival of the aircraft from Macau which I thought was funny because earlier the aircraft that was due to operate as FD 146 was showing to be the flight from Kathmandu operated by (HS-CBB) an A320neo aircraft whose model I have but suddenly they changed the aircraft to HS-CBH and the reason why I call this whole change in aircraft thing funny is because HS-CBB actually arrived before time from KTM which was earlier showijg to be our aircraft for this flight however they changed it to HS-CBH which actually got delayed resulting in further delay of this flight.
Though this is all fine a 15 to 20 minute delay isnt really bad however things were about to get crazy cause after the boarding was done we all got tightended to our seats and aircraft pushed back however following the pushback I realized that engines weren't spooling up…I mean usually after a few minutes of pushback or during it we hear the engine sound increase but it didnt happen on this flight and I knew something was wrong and after about 10 minutes of pushback on the active taxiway the Captain announces that there is a glitch that needs to be fixed before we could takeoff so our aircraft is towed back to its bay.
Initially we were told that it would be a quick fix within 20 minutes however it ended up taking over 1 hour and I knew we were in for a long delay however,I must give credit to the crew and passengers who were helpful and understanding of this situation and all the passengers remained calm and cooperative even though we were made to sit in the plane for the entirety of the fixture of the glitch.

Finally after this long delay we took off for LKO and though it was a bit of a hassle but I do commend the crew and the fellow passengers for remaining helpful, cooperative and kind during this time cause we have seen many a times where people could be real je*ks however,we must understand that sometimes situations require peace and paitence and cabin crew are there for our safety and if the Captain decides to re check something to be sure of something then do know that in aviaition SAFETY IS ALWAYS FIRST and Im glad the captian of this flight did just that.
I hope you all enjoyed this flight report.
