INTRODUCTION
As I returned home after summer vacation I took some time to plan some visits to my family for the rest of 2025
On the 23rd August I booked the following weeknds:
13rd-14th September in Pescara, flying from Malpensa with Ryanair
7th-9th November in Rome, flying from Malpensa with Aeroitalia
5th-8th December in Rome, flying from Linate with ITA Airways
I payed 120 euros each for the first and the third one, while for the Aeroitalia flights I used 105 euros of the remaining 140 in the coupon I got last May

BEFORE THE FLIGHT
48 hours before the flight I was able to check-in through ITA's app
Unfortunately I was assigned a central seat
As for the inbound flight I was communicated that the plane was full and the cabin baggage was requested to be checked for free

THE FLIGHT
With the plane scheduled for 20:00 I asked my parents to bring me to the airport around 19
We left home at 18:40 and twenty-five minutes they dropped me off at Rome-Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" International Airport
Terminal 1, ITA's base, was already decorated for Christmas


Despite being a festivity in Italy, the check-in hall was not that busy

ITA Airways bag drop desk was empty
At the counter the lady told me that the plane was 15 minutes delayed

While there I forgot to ask for a window seat
Not a matter, considering the night time

The control was a bit messier than usual, however it took less than 10 minutes

The departure lounge was definitely busier than the check-in hall

From the moment I got at the gate to the time I scan my BP it passed 40 minutes
The disembark was slow and boarding a bit messy
Tonight's bird:
ITA Airways Airbus A220-100, I-ADVH
First flight on 1st April 2025 (0.7 years old) and delivered to ITA on the same month
Equipped with 125 seats in mixed C-Y configuration, it's dedicated to fencing Olympic champion Aldo Montano

The plane smelled new

The window on my row was occupied, however the guy was sleeping, allowing me to take pics without obstacles

At 20:21 doors were armed

We left the stand moments before 20:30

Mood lighting switching on departure mode

Taxiing to the runway was pretty quick
At 20:34, more than half a hour later than scheduled, we started the take off run

Soon after departure the light went blue and yellow for the service

Water and a small butter biscuit

25 minutes after leaving Rome the plane began its descent



The full moon was stunning



At 21:22, twelve minutes later than scheduled, we touched down at Milano-Linate "Enrico Forlanini" Airport


We reached the stand in no time

Disembark started by stairs 5 minutes later
The plane carries the "Lufthansa Group" sticker



The bus ride was pretty fast
Baggage took a couple of minutes to be delivered

I went straight to the parking and before 22 I got the car
It took me around one hour to get to my house in San Pellegrino
