Hi,
MEX Airport Terminal 1 is probably the worst and most ugly airport I have visited so far. It is very crowded with narrow dirty corridors and not very attractive shops or restaurants.
So I quickly went to the 'Lounge 19 by Grand Lounge Elite' which Lufthansa guests can use.
The Lounge has a very strange 'space' inspired interior which I found not very comfortable or nice.
There is a food self service buffet.
All kinds of drinks have to be ordered from the waiters and will be served to your seat - the staff was rather friendly.
Boarding was completely chaotic and with delays as the boarding process had to be interrupted several times due to the same corridor having to be closed for arriving guests from other planes (a totally weird constructional setup in that old terminal).
Once onboard, however the atmosphere was great and I was greeted by an extremely friendly and charming crew.
Luckily this flight was operated by one of only 4 special A350 which Lufthansa had acquired some years ago from Philippine Airlines keeping their original Business Class product which is way superior to Lufthansa's old currently still widely used cabin found on most other Lufthansa longhaul planes until finally their own new product 'Allegris' will be rolled out to more planes.
The window seat is very nice and offers plenty of space and privacy.
There is a nice stowage area on one side.
Next to a nice big pillow and blanket this night flight also offered a mattress which was nice.
The amenity kit in a nice design and with good content was already at the seat as was a bottle of water.
Soon the friendly crew offered some welcome snacks and a drink where I decided for a glass of sparkling wine.
Afterwards hot towels were distributed.
Followed by the menu.

The cabin feels very spacious without central overhead bins and a nice mood lighting.
We departed into the night for the 10 hour 10 minutes flight to Europe.
Soon an aperitif service came around where I had some tasty Champagne.
Followed by the starter tray and a selection of warm breads - all tasty.
Next was the main course of shrimp and fish which also was nice.
Finishing with dessert.
Plus some fine chocolates.
The seat is comfortable in bed mode and I managed to sleep fine for a few hours.
2 hours out of Munich over the UK breakfast service started with a hot towel.
I selected the tasty egg main course with a nice warm croissant from the basket.
Starting descend into heavy and low hanging clouds.
Some nice farewell chocolates were distributed with a very nice communication and the crew thanking me for choosing Lufthansa etc. A really nice last impression.
Touching down on time and taxiing to our parking position at Terminal 2.
