Good evening from Edinburgh Airport. Tonight I’m flying down to the south coast.
I had a great day in Edinburgh; it’s a beautiful city and well worth a visit. Security at the airport was quick and straightforward. I arrived a bit early, so I had to wait at the gate for a while.
The terminal is averagely busy, with lots of short flights to Dublin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Malta, London and Bournemouth with one significant flight to Dubai.

While Waiting for boarding, I walked around the airport, getting some photos of the Loganair ERJ145 headed to southampton.
Boarding was called at Gate 14. I queued up with my bag and made it through without being pulled for a check, while the person behind me did.
We went down the stairs across the apron to our aircraft. The aircraft was a Ryanair UK Boeing 737-800, registered G-RUKO. It was 15 years old at the time, delivered in 2010.
On my right was the EK flight to DXB, my first time seeing their A350, and my word, it is a beautiful aircraft.

Boarding went as normal, I got on and found my seat - 12D, not my favourite to get an aisle seat, but its alright for a short hop.

We took off from EDI 21 minutes late, due to the aircraft being delayed inbound from Vienna.
Once airborne, we flew down the UK’s west coast, with Cumbria on our left, we crossed over the Welsh border, and headed toward Bournemouth.
We landed 18 minutes late, Not too bad in the end, after an hour and 22 minute journey.
Disembarking the aircraft was smooth and normal, with BOH's ongoing construction and renovation, the terminal that we passed through was nothing more than a Porta-cabin with a baggage belt and some bathrooms.
the entire journey from the steps of the aircraft to landside at the airport took under 2 minutes.

BOH has a 5 GBP pickup charge for cars, causing most passengers to simply take a 5 minute walk outside of the airport perimeter to be picked up on the main road.
