Welcome again
After spending three nights in Singapore, it was time for me to continue my journey this time to Hanoi, flying Business Class on Singapore Airlines.
I began the day with a ride from Conrad Singapore Orchard, which took approximately 35 minutes. Soon enough, I was dropped off at the Business Class departures area at Terminal 2. As far as I know, it is possible to check in at Terminal 3 even if your flight departs from Terminal 2. However, I believe you must arrive at least three hours before departure. Since I prefer not to rush through Changi Airport, Terminal 2 was perfectly fine—and quite pleasant following its extensive renovations.
First, I had my baggage wrapped at the service station, which cost me SGD 50. I had a lot packed inside, and since the luggage was relatively new, I decided to proceed despite the price. I expected it to be properly wrapped, similar to the services in Bangkok, considering the cost, but the result was disappointing. If I were to rank the baggage-wrapping services among Hanoi, Bangkok, Bali, and Singapore, Changi would unfortunately come last. It looked as if they had used kitchen cling film to wrap it. I cannot recommend this service and strongly believe Changi should assess how other international airports are handling this. Of all my experiences at Changi, this is the only aspect I have found worth criticising.

The newly renovated Terminal 2 check-in hall is aesthetically pleasing, offering a calm atmosphere and an intriguing carpet design.

After breezing through immigration, I did a quick GST refund and make my way to Terminal 3 for Silverkris Lounge. Jewel and ATC tower is visible from the right side.

Silverkris Lounge T3
Shortly thereafter, we arrived at the entrance to Singapore Airlines’ Terminal 3 lounge complex, which houses the First Class, Business Class, and KrisFlyer Gold lounges in close proximity as well as The Private Room (TPR). The Batik Wall is pretty, and I appreciate that the same pattern has been integrated across multiple touchpoints, including the reverse side of the boarding pass.

Once you entered the business class lounge, you can choose to turn left and that’s where the main dining area with live cooking stations and self service bar, help desks, toilets/showers are located and turning right will lead you to a smaller dining area mostly filled with lighter bites. If you turn right, you will see a staffed bar though it operates only during designated hours typically in the morning for coffee service and in the evening for cocktails. Unfortunately, the timing did not align with my visit, but perhaps I will have the opportunity to experience it on a future occasion.

The food & beverage options are quite good with both asian and western options. The beverage selection is also good as well.
I’ll let the pictures do the talking. I especially enjoy Mee Rebus, it is quite filling and also flavourful.

Boarding
Soon enough, I made my way back to T2 (Gate F60 to be precise) where the boarding has already begun for Business class and PPS passengers. If you have a couple of hours to spare at Changi, moving between T2 and T3 is perfectly doable.

Here's our jet today to Hanoi - Boeing 787-10 9V-SCA

Cabin
This 787-10 has the capacity for 337 passengers - 36 in business class between doors 1-2 and 301 seats in economy. Business class seats are staggered in 1-2-1 configuration. The seats are from Stelia (if not mistaken, Symphony model). This is more than adequate for regional flights. If you are flying solo and wants privacy, make sure you get the seats that are against the window; I found that AeroLOPA is incredibly useful to check these kinds of information.
The only annoying bit for me is how the seat wing gets in the way for me to look outside.

Waiting for me are: Pillow, blanket, bottle water, headphones, and a menu for this flight. The menu is used for both SIN-HAN and HAN-SIN so I took a photo of both for future references.

A bubbly glass of champagne was offered as pre-departure beverage.

Followed by a hot towel.

Departure from Singapore

Inflight Service
For this flight, I decided to order from their Book The Cook menu and got myself some lamb racks with sautéed vegetables and a really good mashed potatoes with a glass of red wine. The focaccia and the garlic bread was good as always, although it can be made a bit warmer.
The circus crab salad was good while the mango cream cake is alright.
And it wouldn't be a complete Singapore Airlines experience without a glass of Singapore Sling!

I then asked for an ice latte to keep me awake.

What a beautiful day to fly!

Arriving into Hanoi
Soon we began descending into Hanoi - yet another pleasant flight with Singapore Airlines. I am just going to show you the view while descending for a bit.

After we come to a complete stop, I began to worry about the massive queue at the immigration. I have heard before that this can take hours to clear. I began grabbing my stuffs and ready to run to the passport control.
To my surprise, there wasn't that much of a queue and I waited for about 5 minutes before it was my turn and clear the immigration without any issues.
It was a longer wait to get my bags but still pretty impressive.

Hello,
Thank you for this flight report, for next time, could you please put the descriptions above photo's please,
Thank you,
Hi!
Thanks for raising that - for some reasons I flipped the entire thing around at halfway. This should fix it.
