My journey back to the UK continued at Doha International Airport after a short stopover. I had about a two-hour layover, which allowed me to enjoy the beautiful terminal and take a few photos.

As I approached my gate, it was extremely busy. Lines stretched down the concourse as passengers waited to board a completely full Boeing 777 to London. Boarding was delayed, so I spent some time at the gate charging my phone and watching the aircraft.

Once boarding began, I walked through the jetbridge onto the aircraft. Tonight’s flight was on a Qatar Airways Boeing 777, registered A7-BAX. This aircraft was 13 years old, delivered in August 2012.
I had a window seat and settled in as we taxied to runway 34L. Takeoff occurred at 3:06 a.m., 21 minutes later than scheduled. We climbed quickly to cruising altitude over the Persian Gulf, reaching 32,000 feet by the time we crossed into Kuwait.
The Wi-Fi on board, provided by Starlink, was free, fast, and stable. I recorded speeds of around 176 Mbps.

Just after takeoff, before falling asleep, a light sandwich was served — the kind you would find in a meal deal, triangularly boxed. Later in the flight, breakfast was served, which included a croissant, an egg omelette, a chicken sausage, sweet potato wedges, tea, fresh fruit, cheesecake, water, and jam.
I watched the sunrise from my window and spent the rest of the flight using the Wi-Fi. I didn’t watch any films, as there wasn’t anything that particularly interested me. The flight was otherwise calm and uneventful.

On approach to London, we flew directly over the city, offering excellent views.
We landed on Rwy27R and taxied across the airport to terminal 4.
We arrived at Terminal 4 and taxied to a gate. The walk from the gate to the main concourse was long and somewhat inconvenient, as it was one of the furthest gates from the terminal entrance.
