Introduction
Hello amigos!
Welcome to this FR, on the first leg of a Madrid to Bogotá trip via Paris.
This trip was originally going to be a return trip on AF to Bogotá and KL back to Madrid. However, my residence permit wasn't ready and I could only enter the Schengen states directly through Spain, I didn't think about this when booking. So I had to buy a new BOG-MAD flight on IB, thankfully I had a nice amount of Avios for this.
While in Colombia, we were going to Santa Marta to catch some sun…as usual, I chose LATAM for the domestic hop.
Unlike my previous hop to Colombia on AF early 2022, this trip would be entirely on Y class, so I would be able to compare the service in both classes.
And now…to our trip!
At Madrid Barajas Adolfo Suarez Intl
Since I had a lot of baggage, I took a ride to MAD, wich took no time from my flat. MAD is so conveniently close to central Madrid.
Check in was quick and painless
So was security…
I was at the Puerta de Alcalá Lounge in less than 30 minutes since leaving my bag. Talk about efficiency!
What I like about the T123 lounges is that they have great views and are nice and airy (unlike the one at T4)
We had this odd visitor…
Drink offerings were good, nothing spectacular, but better than other lounges in Europe
Foodwise though…well…

I hope I get the chance to try TAROM before it goes the way of other Eastern European flag carriers…
