Arriving in from the red-eye Aer Lingus service from YYZ-DUB, let's see what the connection experience is like at DUB.

It's actually super smooth! Lots of signposting and information screens make the small journey a breeze…

And from my last Aer Lingus flight to the Liffey Lounge, it took me a total of around 10 minutes.

Coffee was certainly needed, this was going to be my fourth flight in around 30-odd-hours or so!

The Liffey Lounge doesn't offer hot breakfast items or any hot food for that matter. It has an array of bakery items in the corner…

And this salad, cheese and charcuterie cold-cuts selection in the fridge in the middle.

Teas are on offer from Robert Roberts - now that's a tongue twister!

And free pour spirits if you fancy something a bit stronger. I think I'll pass at 05:00am!

I opted for an orange juice and a blueberry muffin from brand, "Goodness Grains".

I then took a shower to refresh. To my knowledge, and I might be wrong here, but I do believe the Liffey Lounge only has one shower room. I asked to take a shower, assuming there would be a wait, but was told I could use the shower opposite the reception desk straightaway.

It was spotlessly clean and had Geneva Guild toiletries, fresh towels and a hairdryer. A polar opposite experience to that of my dreadful shower at YYZ on the previous trip!

One of Dublin Airport's art installations within the "Sense of Place" programme, this one is called "Vibrant Irish Light".

I asked the gate agent if I could swap my seat to one with nobody beside me as the flight was not showing as full. Within two clicks of a mouse, I'd got a new boarding pass, with two seats together, and a very warm Irish smile. You have to love this kind of service!

Emerald Airlines operate a strict hand luggage policy and I did see staff checking and weighing hand luggage on other flights boarding in the vicinity. I didn't get checked on this leg though (good fortune as I had LOTS of maple syrup in my bag!).

Today's aircraft is a 10 year old ATR72-600 aircraft which was originally delivered to Garuda Indonesia before joining the Emerald Airlines fleet on the 19th May 2025, just four days before me taking this very flight over to Leeds Bradford.

Seating is in a 2/2 configuration on this ATR72-600 aircraft, makes for great comfort when travelling with a companion.

And here's my home for the next 45-odd-minutes, seat 5A.

The legroom is above average, I'm 6ft exactly and didn't feel too cramped in.

There's also a mini fold down tray table, too!

I'm a real sucker for a window view!

And then we were off, it's always a lovely take-off out of Dublin, whichever runway you depart from.

Even on this super-short regional flight, the crew still offer a full bar service including drinks, alcoholic beverages and snacks. They really do work hard to ensure everyone has a chance to make a purchase if they so wish.

I didn't think the prices were too unreasonable, either.

A nice view of the Irish Sea.

And after a quick snooze, I woke up to descending over Yorkshire into Leeds.

A great descent over the city and a wonderful view of the propeller made this an interesting journey.

And just 49 minutes later, we were on the ground at Leeds-Bradford - a comfortable ride at a bargain price of just €62 one-way.

And from here, it was time to head home. I was very, VERY tired and my bed was certainly calling. Thanks for watching and reading (if you've got this far!) and as always, I'll see you in the next one.
