INTRO
Welcome to this series of reports, which will feature new airport, airlines, and cabin classes. It will include my first time in Delta One Suites, first visit to a Delta One Lounge, and first time traveling to 3 new airports in 2 new airlines.
The trip started in DCA, but I'm not reporting it since it's a usual domestic regional jet short haul similar to the ones I've reported before (ie. DCA-JFK). Instead, I'm starting the report after deplaning at BOS.
CONNECTING TO BOS Intl' Terminal (E)
Welcome to Boston Logan Terminal A. We just arrived from DCA and will connect to ATH, so we need to go to Terminal E.
There were two options to go to Terminal E: a 10- minute walk that included another security checkpoint or a bus ride across the tarmac that usually takes 20-25 minutes. We opted for #1 as we needed to maximize time. After all, we could rest in the airplane.

Here’s the check-in lobby. Renovated not too long ago and very nice looking.

Delta check-in and Delta One dedicated space

TSA was EMPTY so with TSA-Pre we were airside in 30 seconds.

Beautiful Concourse E

Delta One Lounge @ BOS
As we were traveling on Delta One, we had access to the Delta One Lounge.

It is located inside the Delta SkyClub but has a dedicated check-in podium.

The lounge itself is an upscale restaurant with a full bar and à la carte service. The menu is posted at the door.

The bar, just stunning

Seating area. The lounge space is limited so at times there is a waitlist. I think they could have used more space to accommodate passengers on multiple flights. The good thing is that you can wait for your table either at the bar or at the SkyClub.

Old Fashion was amazing

First course: Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. So far, the best crab cake I’ve ever tried. And coming from someone who lives in Maryland, where crab cake is predominant, and originally from the Caribbean, this is a factual statement.

Clam chowder: also great. This was my spouse’s choice.

The view from the lounge

Main course: skirt steak with fried rice. Once again, just outstanding.

Dessert: warm apple tart. Highly acclaimed so had to try it. Didn’t go wrong.

Delta SkyClub
Before leaving we took a quick look around the SkyClub. Very nice

Typical SkyClub food offering

Delta did a great job with the decorations

Beef again. This time, short ribs. Very tasty, but very large portion

Dessert cart. Got a sundae, cheese and fruits, and a glass of Porto

After so much food and wine, it was time to sleep. Woke up 4 hours later and took a tour of the airplane.

Delta One snacks

Went back to sleep and woke up near the alps. This time I just stayed up for the remainder of the flight. Lights went on right around the sun started to rise and shine.

My breakfast choice was the almond cream waffles with cherries and chocolate. Very tasty, although on the sweet side.

Sunrise over Athens
