The airport here at Avalon is quite small with only a few shops and views onto the tarmac where I captured my plane registration VH-VQH arriving into the gate.

Our plane parked right in front of the window with great up close views of our A320

Now we are onboard, I have I wing seat on the left side of the plane. The airport here at Avalon is very small with not that much traffic but around the time I departed there was also a flight next to us going to the Gold Coast also by Jetstar. Jetstar is the only passenger airline serving this airport.

A USAF C-17 Globe Master landing on the runway

We are starting our very short taxi to the airports only runway

There is also another C-17 parked here

Takeoff. There is the other Jetstar flight over at the terminal going to the Gold Coast (OOL) shortly after us

Lifting off the ground flying over the farmlands. As I said earlier this airport is a very small regional airport.

Flying over Port Philip on our departure

Climbing to our cruising altitude. This is a short flight today only around 1 hour so I didn’t order any food but there was the option too through the buy on board menu

This is a really old A320, almost 20 years old so you would notice the window blinds are different compared to the newer ones

After a quick 55 minutes we are already starting our approach into Sydney

We are landing now

There was only a short taxi back to terminal 2 domestic airport. Overall this was a solid flight. A typical low cost airline flight but it was fine considering the flight time was only an hour.

Coincidentally, that other Jetstar flight was the exact plane I flew up on ,VH-VFD.
