Introduction
Hi all, and welcome back to the final leg of this UK and Ireland trip.
We will pick up from where I last left you as we de-boarded our A380 from LHR and began our 3 and a half hour layover in Singapore.
A reminder of the route this trip…

Krisflyer Gold Lounge
As you may remember from our layover in Singapore Changi earlier in this trip there are two Krisflyer Gold Lounges located at Terminal 2 and 3. Due to the Terminal 3 lounge behind leaps and bounds better than the one located at Terminal 2 we headed straight there. Our gate was located just a short walk from the lounge entrance and we were quickly heading upstairs.

The lounge entrance…

Due to it still being somewhat early the lounge was not full and we found a nice spot near the window in which we could enjoy.

Our aircraft of the day, 9V-SMZ, was shortly towed onto the gate right next to us as well.

The lounge offerings were much the same as our previous visit here and we grabbed some pastries and toast to enjoy during our wait.

I also enjoyed a much needed coffee. In which I was once again surprised by the quality of coffee that the lounge served through its machines.
After having a bite to eat we rested a bit before it was time to board our next flight and I sipped on a ginger ale to help pass the time.

Boarding time came around eventually, and noticing the lounge was located right above our gate we decided to wait around in the lounge a little longer and board towards the end of boarding.
I would advise being careful when doing this however as you do still need to pass through security before you can board when in SIN.
Once through security I got a nice view of the nose of our aircraft today.

The Flight - SQ217
Our aircraft today was 9V-SMZ a 5 year old A350-900. I won't go into the details about the seat and config of the aircraft as I have already covered them in a previous report. For those who are interested please refer back to the first report in this series.
One thing I will note was that the entertainment system was marginally different on this flight than any of the others. There were different movie and tv show selections and also a live tv option, which admittedly I did not test.
Upon boarding we were greeted by very friendly cabin crew and found a pillow and blanket set out on our seats.

The seat looked much the same overall as our previous flights.

Once boarding had finished up the cabin crew started handing out hot towels for everyone which was a nice way to freshen up before the flight.

Pushback began not long after as we looked on the lounge windows we were just sitting at.

We had a bi of a lengthy taxi which allowed me to do some plane spotting along the way.
Another SQ A350.

A Thai Airways A350-900

And a Scoot B787 as well.

And finally lift-off!

We got a nice view of the construction going on at SIN. I believe this is the next Terminal 5 they are building? Correct me if I am wrong.

Some nice views over the bay as well.

Once we had reached cruising altitude the aperitif service began which the same snack as the previous flight. I accompanied this with a Whiskey and Coke.
Shortly after the meal service began with the below menu….

I opted for the Fish Arrabbiata which I was once again surprised by the quality in taste. The fish was still very juicy and not dry in the slightest, with the chilli ragout adding a beautiful flavour to it.
The meal service took quite some time as there was some significant turbulence throughout the flight which resulted in the suspension of service multiple times.

I enjoyed the meal with some splendid views outside as we passed over Indonesia.

Once the trays had been cleared I got up to stretch my legs.
A view of the cabin mid-flight…

And the bathroom onboard. Which was maintained quite nicely throughout the flight and was cleaned often.
Amenities were available in the bathroom as well.

I eventually settled down to watch some movies and noticed that we had started crossing over Australia. The first sight of home again after being away for almost a month.

The views continued to impress throughout the flight as we continued over the Australian Desert.

Not long later the pre arrival snack service began with the below menu…

I went with the Mozzarella and Pesto pizza which was nice but a little small for my liking.

During the snack service the sun began to set outside, which provided some very nice views with the wingtip.

Our last bit of light following the sunset…

For the remainder of the flight I watched some tv shows until we began to descend.

And finally touchdown in a very wet and cold Melbourne.

We deboarded after a not too long wait and got my last look at two Emirates aircraft.

And that concludes this trip!
Thanks again to everyone who has been following this series.
