Construction ongoing at Terminal 2 and quick check-in
At the time of this review, construction was ongoing at the expanded part of the terminal, which was completed about 1 year after my visit. Cant wait to show it in a future review!
Not checking in bags today, but receiving the boarding pass through the self-check in machines at Surat was very quick and security wait times was very low.
Small terminal but many shops and some restaurants
The terminal doesn't much windows for plane-spotting, but has a decent amount of shops and restaurants. Surat has a few international flights to Dubai and Bangkok, along with domestic flights to most major Indian cities.
XL bulkhead seats, lots of legroom!
For extra legroom and comfort, the bulkhead seats were great with recline, a tray table, and large armrest. While the XL seat addon does not include the free meal that is in the Flexi plus/Super 6E fare, if you just need to get from point A to point B with a bit more legroom, its a good addon!
Many hot meal options at low prices!
Indigo has a great vegetarian and non-vegetarian meal selection, with hot meals as low as 5-8 USD! No complimentary food or water was given out on todays flight, as expected with a ULC airline.
No IFE or Wi-Fi were available, however.
