Smooth check-in at Terminal D

The check-in was relatively quick at only 10-20 minutes. Terminal D is vastly different in comparison to the other terminals at DFW, and from what I've seen of the Terminal F renderings, it will probably be no where near as large as this terminal.
(please mind the camera quality as this was on my old camera!)

Merry Christmas! Christmas decorations all around the terminal

Todays aircraft will be a 777-200ER. One hour delay unfortunately, but hopefully we'll be able to take advantage of oceanic tracks to make up for it.

Refreshed economy product is great!

Unfortunately, we were assigned the middle row, so I wont be able to share as much window views for todays flight. The seat had pretty decent legroom with recline for the length of the flight, with cup holders for the seats attached to the main tray table. The AVANT IFE's have a USB port, and under the seat you can find multiple pockets and a Universal Power Outlet.

Each seat comes with a red blanket, blue pillow, headphones, eye mask, and a sanitary kit with hand sanitizer and a mask. I really appreciate that they handed out hand sanitizer and headphones as complimentary items instead of selling them, since they can be really essential for flights like these!

Decent Wi-Fi pricing for Transatlantic Flight

I was pretty surprised to see that free messaging was available, though I had some issues when texting over the seas. The pricing is pretty decent, for my flight streaming was 30 euros while surfing was 18 euros. One thing I appreciate is that Air France allows you to purchase Wi-Fi with miles, so if you don't plan on using them for booking flights, you can still use them for in-flight Wi-Fi.

Redesigned IFE with plenty of content

In comparison to Air France's older aircraft (which I will review soon), the new IFE is vastly different. The screen looks much better, is much more responsive, and less prone to issues. The movie/tv-show content is pretty built-up with many of the latest movies, so its unlikely you'll get bored on this 9 hour flight.

Great hot meal, salad and bread were alright

For this flight I ordered the vegetarian meal, which included a decent warm curry. On the other hand, the bread and salad were a little stale.

Breakfast above the Channel Islands

We were served breakfast around 60-90 minutes before landing above the Channel Islands, which consisted of a croissant and a few other snacks.

I love that Air France had this flight map on todays flight! Just wish the speed was displayed in Mach, not knots since we were at 37000 during cruise.

After a eight hour journey, we arrived in France! Now its time for my 2-3 hour connection to get to gate M24. Plenty of time since I don't need to leave terminal 2E (thankfully, connecting through CDG is quite difficult).

Conclusion

Air France has notably enhanced its economy product, particularly in in-flight entertainment and seat quality/amenities. However, food quality remains an area for improvement.

Connecting through CDG, while not associated with the airline directly, continues to remain challenging. Frequent issues including missed baggage (which I have experienced myself recently) and long transfers, have impacted the overall travel experience.
