SriLankan Airlines A320N (Eco): Colombo, Sri Lanka to Bangalore, India

Hi All,
I recently took a flight with SriLanka’s flag carrier SriLankan Airlines from Colombo’s Bandaranayake International Airport, Sri Lanka to Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport, India.
I am sharing the experience of the above flight in this video.
SriLankan Airlines is a full service carrier having flights to several destinations in India and apart from it they have flights to China, Malaysia, Singapore, Jakarta in SE Asia, Australia, few countries in the middle east and Europe.
They have ambitious plans for expansion by inducting narrow and widebody aircrafts to their fleet.
Colombo’s Bandaranayake International airport is the hub for SriLankan Airlines. The airport badly needs expansion which is in talks of planning stage for several years and hasn’t taken off. The Check-in process took some time and the immigration process was breeze and smooth, boarding was through bus as the aircraft was parked in a remote parking bay.
As I took this flight during the stormy season, it started to rain during our take off. The crew served refreshments within 15 minutes from take off, Veg and Chicken puffs were available as options and I went with the Veg one and the taste was awful. We were also served prepacked fruit juices. SriLankan used to serve full hot meals even on short flights when Emirates had control over them during mid 2000s. They have options for purchase of duty free products inflight. Each seats are equipped with IFE touch screens, however no earphones were provided and the touch sensitivity of the screens were very poor. It is time for a makeover for SriLankan Airlines, crew selection also needs to be done.
The flight landed in Bangalore’s Kempegowda International airport on time even though circling for few times over it due to weather. The deboarding and immigration experience at Bangalore airport was quick and the airport has been recently rated as India’s first and only 5* airport.
