ARRIVING TO THE AIRPORT, NAVIGATING AT THE AIRPORT
Good morning from Tallinn airport. Today, we are going on a last-minute trip, which was booked two days before departure. To my surprise, this trip wasn't very expensive.

Many taxis parked infront of the terminal

After we entered the terminal, we needed to drop off our carry-on baggage. The day before, we received an Email from Lufthansa that said to check in any carry-on baggage free of charge because the flight was going to be full.
And the baggage drop-off line/check-in line was… long.

The line wasn't that long, it was actually like 10 minutes. After reaching the check-in counter there was another problem, our carry-on, well baggage was 2 kilograms overweight, which meant, drinking 2 bottles of water, and putting some clothes in our back bag, after 5 minutes, our bag was 20.8kg, the check-in counter said that she can allow up to 20.5kg so that meant drinking 2 more water bottles & also making my back-bag heavier with sandals.
After 10 minutes our bag was finally 20.4kg, so the check-in counter worker was happy and happily checked our bag in, so time to head to security, To my surprise there were still G4S security workers, I guess ForUs security only took over the airport patrols inside the airport area.

After another 5 minutes of waiting and 10 minutes spent with security since they lost my back-bag and after they lost it, they found it but it was sent to extra control where a security worker opened my bag because of a suspicious item, but it was only medice in case is should feel that I start getting airsickness, they prevent me from throwing up (At least 90% they work)
This rating thing was there and the first time I pressed medium on it, that is what happens when they lose my back bag for a little bit.
After that we went to duty-free where I bought 3 water bottles because I drank previous 4 out of 6, also those 2 were in checked bag so I needed something to drink.

After that it was time to see where our gate is

So time to head to gate 4, but before it was time to visit the pharmacy (that I didn't even know existed in TLL) to buy something.

After that it was time to say hello to my favorite thing in Tallinn airport (hopefully it's still around for my TLL-LGW on 5ht April 2025), and yes, it's that baggage table :)

And now it is time to head to our gate.
Gate 4 is Luminor branded. Luminor is a leading financial services company based in Estonia, providing banking services across the Baltic states—Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. It was established in 2017 through the merger of the Baltic operations of Nordea and DNB banks. Luminor offers a wide range of services including personal and business banking, loans, savings, and investment solutions. Headquartered in Tallinn, it is one of the largest banks in the region, focused on supporting local economies and digital innovation in banking.

Across from us, gate 5 looked amazing, it had this amazing Skoda advisement with this beautiful blue car, it would have been nice if this car had been green because it would have matched the surroundings.

After that I decided to go and see what my favourite resturant/coffe shop has to offer this time.
Of course I'm talking about Põhjala Deli

They had some pretty interesting pizza.

I decided to go and see what sausages they offer this time. I bought Rhubarb and Cream Danish pastry, also got my self small apple juice.

After that I decided to see what restaurant Take Off, a small Tallinn Airport-owned restaurant (I think)

I wanted to get Pasta with tomato sauce, but they informed me that it would take around 20 minutes to make that, and my flight would start boarding in 30 minutes, so instead I got myself another apple juice, one candy, and a Mango smoothie.

As many of you guys have noticed that I haven't said hello to the fishes, so time to say hello to fishes :)

Since I was hungry I decided to eat that Rhubarb and Cream Danish pastry and drink that first apple juice that I bought.

This Rhubarb and Cream Danish pastry was very tasty, if you are flying in or out then I recommend buying that :)
After some waiting I spotted glimpse of something and no it wasn't our Lufthansa A321, it was Tallinn airport press.

And little bit later I saw our beautiful A321 that is going to take us to Frankfurt, this old style A321 just arrived from Frankfurt.

Also with this A321 Air Baltic A220 arrived to gate 5

BOARDING
But not long after passengers were deborded then boarding started for our flight LH881, also time to see where my boarding pass is.

Before boarding, it was time to take my favorite shot, the fuselage shot.

I had a friendly welcome from the crew. I made my way to my seat row, sadly since the plane was 100% aisle was also occupied.

Also, my view for the next 2h, also next to us was Air Baltic BCS3 wearing a beautiful Latvian Flag Livery (YL-ABN), I was lucky to fly with it last year, it will depart 10 minutes after us, it would go to Heraklion (HER).

TAXI, TAKE OFF, CLIMPING
After boarding completed, captain came to the PA and welcomed us on board, after that purser came into PA and also welcomed us on board and told us that flight time will be around 2h.
After that we taxied to holding point Foxtrot on RWY 26, it was my first time taking off when using runway 26, take off was smoothly, when climbing out I got this last photo of Tallinn.

In this photo, you can see the Õismäe residential area, also a small lake called Väike-Õismäe järv, and a bigger one called Harkujärv.
Climb out was smooth, nohting interesting to say.
Also you can check out take off video here:
CATERING, IN-FLIGHT ENTEIRMENT, CRUSISING AND CABIN
After the seatbelt sign is turned off, it is time to see what this seat 14F has to offer. Seat 14F has this goat hanger, tray table, and this QR that you can scan, so you can get Lufthansa FlyNet, also there is a seat pocket. The upper seat pocket has, a safety card, air sickness bag, in-flight menu (Onboard Delights) & also a shopping magazine (worldshop), and this… Travel Inspirations thing.

FlyNet offers some entertainment, last time I flew with Lufthansa, it was not available. So for entertainment, there were some English Podcasts, German Podcasts, and eJournals (Kids & Teens, Sports, News & Business, Lifestyle, Leisure, and Computer & Technology), but still you can't stream any movies to your phone unless you buy on board Wifi. There is more room to improve ;)

Crew handed out some water bottles, nice to see some airlines that do that :)

So time to get back to FlyNet, where was I? Oh yeah, wifi. So Lufthansa Miles & More members can use Free Messaging after logging in to their account (Last time I think it cost 3 euros) nice improvement, also if you wanted to buy wifi, then it costs 8 Euros or 2,600 miles.

Also you are able to check arriving time, how much flight time is reaming, also connecting flights from Frankfurt and in-flight map.

Somewhere over Western sea (Läänemeri)

Nothing to see because of the clouds.
After that in-flight catering started. I got myself Hot Chocolate (3 euros or 800 miles), Dallmayr Pralinen (7,90 euros or 2,200 miles) and Dallmayr Apfel-Streuselkuchen (Apple cake) (4,20 euros or 1,200 miles), later I learned that I would have been able to buy a coffee break, that had apple cake + hot drink for 6,50 euros or 1,800 miles.

Time to eat that apple cake

It was very tasty, also hot chocolate was tasty, but that taste that you get when taking a bite of that cake and sipping hot chocolate when a piece of cake is in your mouth is just amazing.
Oh and look at that, clouds have disappeared (Somewhere over the Polish coastline)

Also crew handed out those chocolates :)

And now it's time for the Loo review, if I remember correctly it was Loo, at the back on the left side. Loo looks clean, this loo had one of those taps that I figured out how to use, it had soap and other amenities that you need. Also, this Loo was spacious for me, that is around 190cm long.

Cabin turning cruising

I made my way back to my seat and not long after we started decent.
DESCENDING, LANDING, TAXING
Some beautiful Germany country sides & villages

Some beautiful views over Frankfurt

After landing on RWY 25L we made our way over to gate A18 and parked next to this beautiful Boeing 777 operated by United

DE-BOARDING
Cabin turning deboarding

After that I had quick cockpit visit, this was todays flight crew 3rd and final leg, they started their day at Bergen.
I had very friendly good bye from ending crew and new crew that started to set up their cockpit for Spain flight. Sadly forgot to take fuselage shot.
Bye bye our beautiful Airbus A321.

Don't forget to check out landing video :)
BAGGAGE CLAIM AND NAVIGATING OUT FROM THE AIRPORT
After that and one mean look from Frankfurt airport worker,it is time to head to the baggage claim area, since we had checked baggage. After reading some signs I was able to make way to baggage claim section.

And guess what, our baggage belt is furthest of those 8 ones, great another 1-2 minute walk after some 10 minute walk.

After walking around this baggage belt 4 times searching for my bag, I decided to wait until English version appears on the baggage sign, turns out that Tallinn bags haven't even started to come out yet.

After 10 minutes of waiting I finally got my suitcase, and I quickly found my exit.

Thank you for reading this flight-report and see you in the next one :) Bye!

Quick side note for those that are staying at one of those airport hotels, there is a bridge connected from landside area upper floor so don't be like us that searched 20 minutes for possible way how to get to the airport hotel ;)
