I have published a report on this flight before, but i was not satisfied with the quality of my report. I have since updated my report and have published it again.

Seattle-Tacoma international aiport

My trip begins in front of the seatac airport dropoff lane. It's quite busy on this summer day.

photo img_20240725_090703photo img_20240725_090709

The Korean air check-in counter is next to Skyteam airlines like DL and AF.

photo img_20240725_091936

Empty spirit airlines checkin

photo img_20240725_092149

Security did not take too long because of TSA precheck.

photo img_20240725_094819

The center of the terminal is a food court with good views of the runway.

photo img_20240725_094917

Found my gate for my flight. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed.

photo img_20240725_093925

Located above the food court is some departure boards

photo img_20240725_095402

Some random planespotting I did from the main terminal

photo img_20240725_094526photo img_20240725_094533photo img_20240725_094539

Most international flights leave via the S gates, which can only be accessed using a train.
The S gates do not have enough seating. If a flight is full, you will need to sit at an empty gate.

photo img_20240725_103931photo img_20240725_103938

Some more planespotting, this time from the S gates

Here's my gate for today, S16. sadly, the airplane is blocked by the jetbridge which means I won't be able to get a good look at it before landing.

This 777 is one of the older versions, which have an older screen. While it looks old, it's functional and quite comfy. The seat has a coat hook and a ife screen.

I sat in the window seat for takeoff and only moved to the aisle seat after the meal service.

photo img_20240725_133813

Sadly, the screen reflects so much light, which makes watching anything very hard when the windows are open.

photo img_20240725_132831

Each seat also has a coathookl

photo img_20240725_132844photo img_20240725_132852

There is also a USB-A port at each seat, as well as 2 power sockets per every 3 seats.

photo img_20240725_132902

The remote looked super old.

photo img_20240725_132906

There's also a keyboard and game buttons, which doesn't seem be to be usable for anything.

photo img_20240725_163147

There is a bifold tray table with a cup holder.

photo img_20240725_133009photo img_20240725_133052

Legroom was great at 33 inches

photo img_20240725_133219

There was a blanket and pillow on the seat

photo img_20240725_133158

Headphones were handed out during boarding. An amenity kit and a water bottle was provided. The amenity kit had slippers, a toothbrush, and toothpaste.

photo img_20240725_132920

The seatback pocket contents:

photo img_20240725_133409

The headphones had acceptable sound quality

photo img_20240725_133912

Control screen for the remote. I find it weird that they label the game controls yet there were no games on the system.

photo img_20240725_134114

After the doors were closed, the safety video was screened.

photo img_20240725_135054photo img_20240725_135313

Overhead monitors were also playing the video

photo img_20240725_135109

Taxi and takeoff

We were parked next to an emirates 777-300er. Soon, we pushed back and took off southbound, turning west towards the Olympic peninsula.

I watched kung fu panda 4 during the climb

photo img_20240725_144349

Dinner

shortly after takeoff, dinner was served. I chose the Bibimbap option.

Main: Bibimbap
Side: Pickles
Dessert: Fruits
Dessert: Chocolate Muffin

photo img_20240725_152309photo img_20240725_152501

We also were provided with a sanitizing wipe

photo img_20240725_153908

Main: Bibimbap 8/10
The bibimbap provided was fairly tasty. I love how Korean air gives you a bowl so you can mix it without it spilling. However, the rice was hard to mix. The taste was pretty good. If you find it to be too bland, you can add gochujang sauce to make things spicier

photo img_20240725_152824photo img_20240725_153035photo img_20240725_153703

Side: Pickles 6/10
The pickles, while they looked spicy, had little taste. However, they were fairly crunchy and paired nicely alongside the bibimbap

photo img_20240725_152854

Dessert: Fruits 7/10
Decently tasty fruits. The selection was nice, but not the freshest.

photo img_20240725_153616

Dessert: Chocolate muffin 0/10
This "dessert" tasted like pure corn syrup. The muffin fell apart as soon as i touched it. This was probably the worst food I had this entire trip

photo img_20240725_153925

After the meal, tea and coffee were provided. I love how Korean air gives you an actual tea bag and not just pre-made tea.

photo img_20240725_153811photo img_20240725_154142

Overall, this was a decent meal, with my only complaint being with the atrocious quality of the muffin.

Lavatory

The lavatories on this plane are pretty standard, but they were clean and well-maintained throughout the flight.

photo img_20240725_160423

Lotion and air freshner was provided

photo img_20240725_160431

Sink with soap and a trash bin

photo img_20240725_160502

They have a flight attendant call button which would be useful should you need any assistance.

photo img_20240725_160519

The lavatories have cups, which is weird because they advise against consuming the water.

photo img_20240725_184952

Door

photo img_20240725_160458

Mid-flight snacks

After the meal service, there were drinks and snacks set up in the rear galley. The drink selection had some water, juices, and soft drinks. However, the soft drinks  ran out quickly and the crew did not restock, so i recommend you grab your drink right after they set it up.

photo img_20240725_163600

The snack selection consisted of some sort of Korean nut bar, a snack mix, and a brownie

photo img_20240725_163630

I got a brownie, snack mix, and a sprite

photo img_20240725_164213

Back when I took this flight, Korean air have ramyun on demand. You also got a cup of water and chopsticks alongside. I love how the spice packet was given on the side. Or maybe loved would be better, because Korean Air stopped serving them in August 2024 due to turbulence concerns.

photo img_20240725_183015photo img_20240725_183345

Halfway throughout the flight, the flight attendants came by with sandwiches, bananas, and drinks. I got some sort of juice (i cant remember what kind it was), and a sandwich.

photo img_20240725_200118

In between the meal services, the cabin was darkened to allow for sleep.

IFE

The entertainment UI was dated, but usable.

photo img_20240725_161427

You can choose between catagories, but you cant search for your movie. You can view the media selection ahead of time here.

photo img_20240725_161518photo img_20240725_161626

After you select a movie, you can see the description, run time, and some other details

photo img_20240725_161641

Enter text here…

photo img_20240725_161657photo img_20240725_161705

This is what the UI looks like when a movie is playing

photo img_20240725_161756

There are also categories of tv shows and music to choose from

photo img_20240725_201504

you can also make custom playlists

photo img_20240725_230907photo img_20240726_004007

Korean air has a nice section that is supposed to ease your fear of flying

photo img_20240725_162012

They also have videos on the in-flight meals and how to prepare them.

photo img_20240725_162729photo img_20240725_162539

There was a news section, but it was empty

photo img_20240725_162552

The games section was also empty, making the back side of the remote basically useless.

photo img_20240725_162608photo img_20240725_162637

Map

The ife also had a mapping system. You have static and interactive views that you can choose from

photo img_20240725_191235

you firstly have information about your flight

photo img_20240725_201400

Now onto the map views. You have a total route viewer,

photo img_20240725_200925

a day/night viewer,

photo img_20240725_201002

and a autozoom/high resolution map which seem to be the same

photo img_20240725_201116

There's also a interactive view which dosn't work well

photo img_20240725_201214

Finally, there is a distance viewer

photo img_20240725_201318

Dinner

Appetizer: salad
Main: Beef and rice
Side: Bread and butter
Dessert: lemon cake

photo img_20240725_231701photo img_20240725_231807

Main: Salad 10/10
This salad was very fresh and tasty. I could eat more of this if i had the chance to

photo img_20240725_231825

Main: Beef stew 7/10
While this tasted more like beef pot roast, it was fairly tasty regardless

photo img_20240725_231814

Side: bread and butter 3/10
This bread was dry as a brick. The only thing that made it edible was the butter

photo img_20240725_231843

Dessert: lemon cake 5/10
This was a bit too sweet for my tastes, but i liked the lemon taste

photo img_20240725_231831

I ate everything, even the dry bread

photo img_20240725_232728

I got some coffee after the meal

photo img_20240725_234355

Disembarkation

After we landed, I disembarked the plane, and i finally had the opportunity to get a good look at the plane

photo img_20240726_175328

Sadly, the immigration took forever. It took over an hour to exit the secure area.
