A visual of my entire journey from Stockholm to Salt Lake City via JFK & DTW.

Introduction
For my next and last flight of the trip, I will be sitting in regular ole Main Cabin. Even my gold medallion status wouldn't be able to even get me a complimentary upgrade to Comfort+ on this flight as I was #58 on the standby list for an upgrade!

My flight is DL 732 departing out of gate A29.

The good thing is that we won't be needing to change concourses for our next flight. We just have to walk about half a mile straight down to our gate. Luckily it won't be to bad thanks to these moving walkways.

Finally made it to our gate for our flight to Salt Lake City this evening.

And here's my aircraft that'll be taking me across the country to Salt Lake City tonight. I'll be flying on N112DN, a 3 year old Airbus A321-211 delivered new to Delta from Airbus on Feb. 9, 2021.

The aircraft is configured in a three class configuration with 20 domestic first class, 29 comfort+ and 142 main cabin seats for a total capacity of 191 seats.

Boarding

Boarding began right on time and I boarded with Sky Priority group.

My seat 25F, main cabin. (Photo taken while deplaning)

Each seat comes with a nice sized PTV.

Legroom is pretty good, these seats offer 31" of pitch.

This seat also comes a an excellent wing view! Only negative about this seat is that there's no recline since the emergency exit door (3R) is directly behind me.

The overhead panel consisted of a flight attendant call button and both individual reading light and air vents.

Boarding is complete and not surprisingly it is a completely full flight.

Pushback
We eventually pushed back from the gate right on time.

The safety video began showing.

While we were taxiing, a flight attendant passed through the cabin offering complimentary headphones.

The cabin lights were dimmed for takeoff.

I could already tell that it would be a spectacular cloudless evening takeoff.

Takeoff
We'll be taking off on runway 03L.

It was truly a spectacular takeoff from Detroit! I'm enjoying the last bit of sunlight until it gets completely dark. But since we are flying west bound, the sunset will last a lot longer than usual.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Inflight service
About an hour into flight the inflight service began.

On domestic flights in main cabin, soft drinks and a snack are provided and are complementary. For this occasion I had used a drink voucher (comes with my medallion benefits) to request a Jack Daniels and a coke. Overall not bad for a 3 hour flight.

The sun gradually began to set and eventually it got completely dark outside.

Inflight entertainment
Delta's IFE system, also called Delta Studio, has a good selection of movies, TV show, music and games to choose from.

Plenty of content to keep one entertained especially on a flight of this length.

My absolute favorite part of any IFE is the interactive map which I have fun playing around with 😅.

Initial descent
Before I knew it we began our initial descent into Salt Lake City.

The cabin lights were turned on for the FA's to conduct their last cabin checks before landing.

Landing
Tonight we'll be landing on runway 16L.

Very smooth landing, welcome to Salt Lake City!

Arrival at gate
We arrived at the gate 10 minutes ahead of schedule.

The concludes the trip report, thanks for reading!
